I know theres so many threads about getting villagers to move out but the ones I could find were all about tt'ing 2 days forward, 2 days back, etc. I have heard about people talking about making a new character and meeting everyone except the person you want to move, but I need someone to shed some light on this for me. How exactly do I do it?

Bump? Kind of in a hurry if anyone can help me out :(

Hmm, I really never got the concept of making someone move out, I personally think they move out at random, but I guess you could try the way you referred, :L

I did and I can't get it to work, which is why I made this thread, lol

The theory is that you introduce yourself to everyone (including the ones you want to leave) in town with the second character. Then every day for a week you have that second character talk to all the villagers with that you want to keep ; and completely ignore the one(s) you want to leave.

Oh! I created them and talked to everyone but the one I wanted to move then tt'ed a few days lol no wonder it didn't work. Would it still work if I tt'ed back? Or should I delete the character and try again?

Deleting the character would probably be easiest. Also, if you're TT'ing do it a day at a time. I've not tried this way of making villagers move out, but the person who first explained it said it's important to talk to the villagers you're keeping every single day.

Okay! I have deleted and remade the character. I will try this right now. Thanks for your help!

Another question, is it okay if I save/quit before I talk to all the villagers? I have went around and met every single one except one who I can't find (checked all shops, museum, all villagers houses, etc he's nowhere to be found) I've literally been walking around my town for an hour looking for him......so I was just going to save and quit then re-open the game and meet him but will that mess it up? I would hate to have to start over again because I couldn't find 1 villager

Yet another question lol I'm sorry....on the 3rd day a character (one of the ones I wanted to stay and have been talking to) pinged me and told me she's moving. I told her to stay.....will I still be able to get the other character who I have been ignoring out? I have been at this for hours and don't want to continue if its not gonna work lol

Edit: I'm just gonna go back on my other character and do the 2 day tt thing hopefully I'll have more luck =(

I use the 2 day forward/back thing too (actually, I do three days). I find it to be the most effective method. :)

I should have just done that from the beginning lol, last question I promise =) so I go 2 days forward, talk to everyone, quit, go 2 days back, talk to everyone, etc? What happens when someone pings me that I don't want to move, do I tell them not to or just quit without saving and try again?

I think everyone does it differently.

I usually go forward, save (without doing anything), then go back and run around until someone pings. Never lost a villager in my main town doing it this way. :) If it's someone I don't want I say no and then start from the beginning again.
