I currently have some pretty popular villagers on my island (or on my wishlist), so I thought it might be nice to fill in the rest of the spots with underappreciated villagers.
If any of you have had any of the "less popular" villagers on my list, I'd love to know what you thought of them.

1. Stella- Replacing Marina, Molly, or Tia for my Normal

3. Murphy- Replacing Wolfgang for my Cranky
4. Bree- As my second Snooty
So yeah, if you currently or have ever had these villagers, what did you think of them? What "unpopular" villagers do you have or like?
I have not had any of these but my girlfriend has Bree and I love visiting Bree on her island. Bree is super cute and has a very nice house too. Definitely a good snooty and one of the few mouse villagers that I like! I like talking to her when I visit. I have never encountered her in my game though which is one of the reasons I do not have her myself.
I'm learning slowly which villagers are popular or not. I pretty much have been going by my own opinions. My son has Hazel and I think she's adorable. I was sad to learn she wasn't popular.
I have Pietro on my island. HE IS A HOOT! His house is so fun! Apparently people don't like him either?
Bree looks great in this game, I was considering one of the more popular snootys but after interacting with her I'm thinking about having her on my island too
I actually prefer ugly cute villagers to really really adorable ones. I like Kabuki/Tangy over Rosie, horses/alligators/gorillas to ducks like Molly. I can't handle too sweet ones - they feel like my stuffed animals from when I was 5, lol.
My current favorite one is my starter villager - Rowan. He's like on a **** list, and is probably the ugliest of the tigers. But he is just so cute. All the villager dialogues are started by him. I also love rex - it's a smiling lion, what's not to like.
I do like a balance of the villagers by cuteness and species though. I am not too interested in the really pretty ones like Fauna, but it wouldn't be bad to have one on my island. So cute ones are on my list to get.
Stella is really cute, but honestly she's one of my more boring villagers. (Lily is my other normie and I feel like she has more personality). Stella doesn't have a lot to say, but she's visually adorable and I always see her watering or smelling the flowers <3
murphy, pudge and bree are ALL amazing choices and are so so underrated. i’ve had all three at different points in playing since wild world. pudge especially used to be my favorite, i love his name and his lil face is just so cute. highly recommend. murphy is also great because he’s like a green cub version of the bear villager teddy. having both on your island would be funny. and bree is such a pretty mouse, i love her colors! also love that all three of these villagers incorporate some awesome green color design!!!
I have been trying to get Cashmere to come visit my island after Cyd leaves. (I feel like i'm the only user here that likes this ugly sheep...)
So I have been grinding NMTs by myself and by people on here while trying not to be greedy about it. He can take his time on moving. Also, I would like to obtain all the reactions I can get from cranky villagers before I get him to move out. So if he has a thought bubble on him, he's not doing it until I get them all.
