It's been some time since I've been on here, due to my Nintendo Switch borking up, I've not been able to play. I've finally ordered a Switch Lite which will arrive soon. It's been a while since I've been on my island, so clean up is inevitable - but what really gets me is just getting back into playing AC. I'm not restarting, but I'm thinking of completely reorganising my Island, maybe using TT to rearrange villager houses, redecorating everything, catching up on new items I've missed (Like festivale stuff) etc etc. I also want to re-ignite my passion for Splatoon 2 in readiness for Splatoon 3, so I don't want to spend all my time on my island...

Any tips, anyone?

Probably set a time limit or a small goal to finish to indicate it's time to stop playing so you don't get too burnt out from playing too much. It's how I've been doing it like TT to try to get some new clothes one day, another day to decorate an area, and another day to find a new villager. I also don't worry about the clean up like picking weeds or branches because of all the time travel and kinda just clean up as I go.

If you plan on moving a lot of buildings, it helped me to move as many of them on the beach so they didn't get in the way and just used paths to mark where I want them to go before moving them. It helps me save time and bells.

Set short and long term goals and have fun with it. Don't force yourself to play if you don't want to, but learn to have fun with it daily.

I have a 5 star island, consider my island design complete, and completed my museum entirely about 4 days ago, yet I still am motivated to play every day because I enjoy the game so much. Right now, I'm working on building a relationship with Reneigh because I haven't unlocked all of the emotions from an Uchi/Sisterly personality type villager yet! Once that's done, my next goal would probably be to start collecting more villager photos. It's going to be a lot of fun, especially since the Sanrio amiibo collection launches later this month!
