Getting a specific villager to move with the TT trick?

I was wondering if there was a way to predict which villager was going to move when using the time traveling trick? (where you skip two days and jump back and someone comes up to you.)

Is there some sort of pattern based on your friendship or is it just completely random?

Entirely random! It has absolutely nothing to do with friendship/abuse.

I have a villager who recently moved in, and I've been trying everything to kick them out, but nothing works. And the other ones that have a somewhat high friendship with my mayor want to leave.

That's the same issue I've been having~ I got a new villager that I don't really want but I can't seem to get them to move out. I guess it is completely random.
