I know this has been discussed before, but I've forgotten the answers people have provided.

I gave Fauna away last night and received a plot for Punchy in my town today. I have nothing against him, but I was hoping to get down to 8 villagers so I could villager reset for another uchi. After I spoke to him while he was in boxes, I haven't spoken to him since.

I've heard people say if you only speak to a new movein once, they'll eventually ping you to move, but I've been TTing for awhile and haven't had any such luck yet. Can anybody provide advice?

In trying the same thing with my Rolf. It's pretty rough. Are one if the uchis you're looking for Mira or rocket? I have both I want to move and I'd be happy to give one to you when they ping if you're looking for them. Both still completely original.

I think another villager has to move in before he moves out.

I've had villagers that just moved in move out without having another move in... But it takes an incredibly long time and large amount of time traveling. Having another villager move in is definitely the fastest way but not absolutely required.

Oh, ty, but I'm not actually completely sure just yet who I want in my town. I was planning on getting a house in a decent spot and then seeing if it was an uchi I was okay with having (one of them is Rocket, though o: ).

And PrettyGuinea, I've heard that, but I've also heard that the most recent move-in can leave, it's just much harder. :/
