Junichi Masuda is on the Game Freak board of directors and has been a part of the company since 1989, Masuda was also the director of Pok?mon Black Version and Pok?mon White Version watching over the production and playing a major role in the game?s development.

When asked via Masuda?s new Twitter account about the possibility of a Pok?mon Ruby Version and Pok?mon Sapphire Version remake, the Game Freak director responded with ?Thanks for your thoughts. Ruby and Sapphire are important games to me. I will consider your request.?

Obviously this is by no means confirmation that we will ever see the classic Gameboy Advance entries ever brought into the current generation but at least Masuda is aware that fans are hoping for a new Ruby and Sapphire instalment.

Apperenly that tweet was mistranslated, according to Pokebeach.
It's too bad, I was really hoping this would happen. And who knows it still might, I don't think Nintendo would miss an opportunity to make money.

Although Ruby and Sapphire were great games, It would seem somewhat odd in this generation, this doesn't mean I won't like to see the remakes, I mean I can't imagine it.

It would be that odd, Unova was pretty much nothing but land. Hoenn was pretty much all water halfway through. They complete each other!
