Future Crossover Amiibo?

I really like the detail Nintendo did for the special Amiibo that crossed over with other franchises. I hope they keep making that possible with New Leaf and the Switch game. In particular, I think Mario, Sonic, and Pac-Man/Namco have good possibilities to get Animal Crossing Villagers. The games and characters have been around for over thirty years so they would appeal to fans of all ages.

Mario- As many of the enemies are turtles, I could see those most easily getting Amiibo. Or maybe a frog that is Toad themed for innate puns.

Sonic- As we have had tie-ins from Sanrio, I could easily see a Villager with Sega merchandise. I would like a sloth or squirrel.

Pac-Man/Namco- A character that has an arcade/restaurant like the one Namco has in Chicago. I think a Mouse (Mappy) or Dragon (they made a Godzilla game) would fit nicely.

What future crossover Amiibo would you like to see?

Hi Celeste!

I'm a huge Zelda fan, with Twilight Princess being my favorite. So while I love th LoZ amiibos they have so far, I think a Midna one would be really cool. I also feel like it would tie in well as her mask is already one of the available fortune cookie items in the game. I think another cool thing would be to include some characters from Disney Infinity.

(Btw, I love your picture! Puddles is one of my faves :) I feel like she's so underappreciated though. I can't believe how low she's ranked in villager popularity lists sometimes)

That sounds like a cool idea. What species of Animal do you think Midna would be? Remember, as the Sanrio Amiibo demonstrate, they don't have to be the species they are in their own games.

(Thank you for the compliment. I hope to have a Frog Town someday.)

I think it'd be cool to see pokemon themed items and amiibos! Tho I have no idea what they'd be in the context of the game, haha.

I want koopa villagers!! maybe even bowser as a cranky villager.

I always wanted Yoshi as a villager. Why can't we get that, Nintendo?
