No, not your real neighbors, though they're undoubtedly as nice as your villagers.
Although it is sometimes suspected that people may like villagers because of their unusual furnishings, I feel some also like the design of villagers' living space for aesthetic reason, such as when I recently read one member describing how a house had a theme which so perfectly fit the villager that to change it would be bad, while other people simply like for villagers' houses to not be a mere mishmash of furniture, as if a storage more than a house.
Another member even posted a topic recently asking how to stop villagers from selling their furniture, to which someone replied to put items up for sale in re-tail at ridiculous price.
In any case, who here knows how silly they're being but still try to keep villagers' houses furnishings intact, and who here couldn't care less?
For those who do care, have you merely tried to keep their house 'intact,' or do you try to re-design for them with your own 'vision' in mind?
As for me, I like to see villagers' houses remain the same, though for Pippy I've been mailing her Gracie furniture (I can already see people desperately searching for such furniture shaking their fists in indignation) to serve as an ornate 'contrast' to the more minimalist furniture of her house.
Alright, silly topic: let the silliness begin.
