I know there are loads of ACNH memes right now, but have you seen anything that genuinely made you laugh? I did just now - I was walking down the beach and on one of the rocks there was a shell, and I could tell it was a hermit crab. As I got nearer, it wobbled, and then went BLOOP right into the ocean, and I had to stop and just giggle to myself for a minute.
Happened early on in the game, on a live stream. We did hide and seek in the museum, the person streaming (the character near the door) did the seeking. I picked the hiding spot below, was found last, we all laughed. (the camera does not let you see this when you walk in)
The time I sent giant teddy bears to all of the people on my friend list also made for a fun picture
I love the jock-lazy interaction where the jock wants the lazy to run island laps. If you say that you’ll run with the lazy the lazy will drop out when the jock increases the number of laps (I especially love the small head shake your character does when the jock increases the number of laps)
Not necessarily "the funniest"...but, I had a pretty funny interaction earlier tonight with Louie.
I have a beach chair on, well...the beach. I go down there to look for bugs/fish/whatever...and Louie is sitting in the chair. I talk to him, and he says "it only looks like I'm sitting - I'm actually squatting just above the seat as a workout" or something like that. Alright...a lot of the jocks say these things when they are sitting. Only mildly amusing. So...I run around my beach, up the other side. Come back about two minutes later, and Louie is snoring away...sound asleep in the chair. I laughed out loud.
I received this from Hopkins today. Just read the letter he wrote to me and the gift he attached to it. Gotta say this was disturbing. View attachment 284509View attachment 284510
Today I was really concerned with Bam, which I would have gotten a video of it but he had his face against a cliffside and stood there for a good two hours.
Whenever I finished interacting with him, he'd just go back to smushing his face into the wall.
There was also a time where C.J decided he was going to be up on an inaccessible cliff. It was kinda annoying and taught me to fill up the tops of my cliffs with things.
So I have ADHD. One of the mild quirks that can appear in ADHD and autism is that something can just continue to be funny far past the point they should be. This doesn't mean I'm delighted at every repeated pun, but there are a few things that get me the same way they did when I first saw them.
The first I'd like to share is when peppy villagers tell me they've never had fleas, not even this time.
The second is the, "But that's okay because this is a seaplane," line. 100% it should not be funny anymore, but I find it funny every single time. And that fact that they repeat it adds to how funny it is for me. They've told me so many times, and they know I know it's a seaplane, but they just keep sayin' it. I'm probably one of the few that still finds it entertaining, but we do exist.
