frustrations about animal crossing

I wish they showed the permanent rocks on the maps when you get to pick the maps. I have 7 rocks on my map that I think I made work, but I can't imagine how frustrating it could have been to find one in the perfect space for my house or where I wanted to build the Roost...
Btw, thanks for making this post! These answers are all great and it makes me feel a bit less crazy for how much some of these things truly frustrate me

Half tiles should be a given too. Like instead of everything being on a 1 grid system, I should be able to place a 1 tile item in between 2 tile spaces to make things look even. One of my biggest pet peeves honestly.

A villager you really want visiting though the campsite: I really like it here. I wouldn't mind staying a lot longer, actually.

I forgot how frustrating that is! Also looking for Villagers to request something, there's times when I waited for hours and all I get is 'I have a new nickname for you!'.

You know about the Dive Method right?
I got every single PWP I wanted, one after the other.
Firstly, fill your inventory with shells since they won't try to buy those from you.
Have NO bells on you, so they can't try to sell you anything.
Now, avoid the villager(s) you don't want PWP's from, and walk or run past the villager(s) you do want PWP's from.
They should ping you for a PWP.
If they don't, then turn off without saving, and repeat the process. ^_^
I was watching a happy home designer lets play and saw that you can place items on half tiles, which was my complaint.. So upset it didn't transfer to new leaf, but hopeful it'll be changed in the next game!

there isn't enough dialogue with the animals. I find myself coming across the same dialogue probably more than 5x a week. I also would love to see more expression with each unique personality. like in the GC animal crossing the snooty and cranky villagers actually felt really snooty/cranky! They could water it down slightly but I would love to see more expression.

It's not frustrating, but it would be so cool if the player could actually speak, and the conversation would build off of that! Maybe have more options of what the player could say? Also, it would be cool if you could be like non-friends with an animal so they could move out faster? Just ideas
Yeah, so, I put the jungle gym on my barren crop circle dirt patch yesterday (completely forgetting that that's the ideal spot to locate my alt character's house when I plot reset but that's an entirely separate issue) because I figured it'd take forever to get the zen bell request but since I've never had the jungle gym I thought it would be fun to try it temporarily... And so today I go to look at it and there's a brand new Jacob's Ladder near it AND THEN when I'm about to go into the town hall to get the completion ceremony over with I get pinged by Wolfgang for the zen garden!!! Thankfully it was NOT the bell or I might have actually cried.

same! HAHAH actually made this post to rant about how there are so much normal villagers with great designs (meanwhile uchi villagers?? so few.. and their designs are.. well.. not exactly appealing to me hehe).

I just thought of another one. I get the online club tortimer thing, but I’m not a part of it and I still can’t save and continue on the island. . If you’re just alone not on any network, why can’t I save and continue? Also I don’t like how the clock doesn’t appear on the island.
One thing I really like about the island though is that if you catch something, the backdrop song won’t restart. I honestly hate it isn’t like that in your town. If I’m on a fish catching spree, I just wish the music would continue instead of resetting completely. It can get annoying with some songs.

One thing that I absolutely HATE is that once you build a Permanent Public Works Project (Caf?, Police Station, Campsite, etc), you can't remove or move it. I wish you could. Same with Normal PWP. Instead of having to pay bells to demolish it, then pay again to rebuild it, you can just move it for FREE. That's just in my opinion, but who else agrees?
Yeah, i placed down my police station next to my cobblestone bridge, when I went to replace it with brick. I cannot place a bridge back down because its to close to police station :S
