Id never had Barold....however i had his AMIIBO card, and I try not to judge ANYONE (even ac villagers) by how they look....buuuut there was just something about him that IRRITATES ME and makes my skin crawl.
Soooooo, I have a fairly new second town, called STARLEAF...and I am really into all my new villagers (Queenie, Apollo, Hamlet, Graham, and Sylvia) in it and even have 2 repeat offenders whom resided in my main/1st town of CRIBBET (jambette whom I don't care too much for but can tolerate and my adorable lil blue bear)...So, I ADORE kitty villagers...so I ask Wisp to please send word to Rosie via amiibo card and have her move in, he says ok and all is well...or so I thought...

I go outside to take my first boat ride from STARLEAF to the Island...and WTF DO I SEE?!?!?!?!?!?! A new home plot....RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FREAKING BEACH WALK WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, naturally I am HORRIFIED at this blasphemy, this betrayal... and I walk over ever so calmly to the lil sign that states whose house it is....im thinking "Ok...self, don't get so mad just yet....calm down...don't get all murderous raging until we know WHO it is that did THIS to you and your beautiful lil village. Maybe its a dreamie....if its Purrl, Eunice, Cashmere, Inkwell,Pekoe,Baabara,KIKI,,Blanche,Chrissy,Julian,Fauna,June,Julia,Kitty,merangue, Merry...I mean the list is quite long!!!..so you wont be so mad self, if one of THEM has done this...I mean youll be annoyed but youll also be able to overlook it....'
and that's when I read it....'THIS SPOT RESERVED FOR THAT DIRTY, HORRIBLE, NIGHTMARE OF A BEAR BAROLD'S NEW HOME.'

I think I even gagged and dry heaved as it was sinking in. I am EVEN ANGRIER NOW THEN I WAS BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great story. 10/10. Villagers can move into another spot, but there is an increased chance of them plotting there.

The next villager is likely to use Barold's spot, but it's definitely not guaranteed.

You could put some designs down when he moves out, so when the next person moves in they won't take that spot. The new update made it so villagers can't move in on top of designs.

You can also plot reset to make sure they go where you want them to go.

Ugh I know what you mean about Barold. I get it completely. He is really creepy to me and I wouldn't want to see him around town anytime soon, especially at night. He just screams "creepy old guy" to me. To be honest, I almost never have any random move ins or voids because i'm incredibly paranoid about random move ins and voids, so I tend to avoid all visiting other towns at all costs until I get a villager from here. From experience (and many many many plot resets) I can tell you villagers can move in the same spot that Barold did, but probably not until long after he's left. I've had villagers plot in spots about 3 villagers later from the villager who used to live there. From what i've seen, they never plot in the same spot immediately after a villager has left.

I feel kinda bad for him too, just not bad enough to have him live in my village. If he wants hes welcome to visit...like occasionally and during day light hours....
if ya want him ill PM you when hes in boxes...

When he leaves make sure to place a pwp nearby, even better if in the exact same place. They can never move on a pwp spot.

this is a decent suggestion if I had better PWP options available in my town (ie: Light house, zen bell, Brewster) buuuut its SO new that the options are kinda basic. I'm in the midst of collecting bells for a second bridge....soooo yea lol.

I'm gonna put like a bench there maybe? I dunno but yea...as I was typing this I was looking it over and putting a lil PWP there is what ill do. I

I'm still freakin pissed off and horrified tho lol

Just place anything cheap and small and replace it later. I had to do that as soon as frita left because I don't want a third villager moving right in front of my house, grrr.
