So the other day, I left my gates open & little did I know.. I actually forgot to close my gates while I went away! Let's just say.. NOBODY trashed my town but instead people sent me letters of how nice my town looked! They even added gifts with their letters & I just want to seriously thank those people for respecting my town. I'm glad it's still in one piece & it just goes to show that not everyone's out to get you! I'm very fortunate to have really nice internet friends here on TBT. Love you guys! If you've had the same experience or something similar, feel free to share!

My gate's were open a few times because I left to walk my dog or I was looost watching some exciting TV show. Someone on my BF list came around & buried some gifts in front of the Train Station- as a means to hide them from my villagers. Very clever; & the surprise was nice!

To lessen the chance of a town receiving an unexpected 'make-over', ALWAYS delete those you do not Trust on your Friends List. Social experiences in New Leaf should be satisfying- I'm glad most of us here has something positive to share. ^o^

I have never left my town gates open but another friend told me of a story about how another mutual friend helped him out with what he was looking for by hiding it around his town when he had forgotten to close his gates... ooh it was such a sweet story.

I had something like that happen to me too, except, there were a few hybrids in my town, that's it. Most of my flowers were watered as well.

Either way, it's really sweet and I'm glad your town was okay.

Awww that's awesome. Just goes to show that not everyone can be jerks. I haven't had anyone visit my town yet, still trying to make it look pretty.

Good thing some trustworthy people came in and that was pretty decent of them to leave a few things for you.

I've left my gates open loads of times and forget that I've left them open. Luckily no one has came uninvited yet, though if they did and were respectful about it I'll let them off the hook.

Thats so nice! I left my gates open my accident the other day, I actually thought I closed my ds (blanket got stuck between it so it stayed open just a crack) until I heard the noise you hear when someone arrives at your town... I immediately jumped up and flicked the wifi switch without even looking who it was. I don't trust many people, and don't like when people just show up uninvited.
