How long are you guys planning to stick with New Leaf?
For years to come because it's such an amazing game?
Or maybe you're already losing interest in it?

I'm just curious to see what you guys say since the game kinda has no end to it.

When I start school I know I won't be so into it...I plan on writing down the day and time I last played so when I plan on playing again I will start at that time so my villagers won't be gone and the time I put into the game in Laying down paths and flowers isn't a waste.

Until the cartridge is no good and as long as the community is alive.

That's how I'm thinking as well.
Because if another Animal Crossing game comes out, this one will be less played by many.

It's a pretty amazing experience so far though. Very addicting as well. -_-

I just play until I get sick of playing. Last week I was feeling pretty worn out on it, so I skipped a few days and even when I did get on, I pretty much only checked for fossils and checked the shops. but now I'm back to getting on and playing multiple times throughout the day like I was my first week. I always hope to play for multiple years, but who knows :)

I'll play it until I unlock all the PWPs I want and get my town looking how I envision it in my head. Even after that point I'll probably still play occasionally to check out dream towns and update my suite.

I really wonder if I'll even still be playing playing this a year from now...
I know I barely played CF, but NL is just so awesome I prob will still be playing just not as much.

Omg I found myself asking myself this same question last night after playing for hours... I imagined like 45 year old me playing NL still. Then imagined myself passing the system and game onto my future kids and grandkids and envisioned them playing it.. that would be the ideal life. As long as new things keep happening, I think I'll continue to play it. Haven't missed a day since it came out but I feel like once school starts, it's going to be harder to keep up with. :(

It would be amazing to pass it down generations. But the reality of things does shatter that envision.
Ugh I can already imagine myself playing it through lectures at school though.

I feel like the next one would be on the Wii U.. ugh.. :/

I play extremely lazily on purpose do I don't grind the game out. I hope to play the game for atleast 3 years. I played WW for 3 years, and there wasn't even anything to do in that game, so this should be fine.

That won't happen XD By then the current ACNL and 3DS will be like Atari to us now.

I don't have a Wii U, and in all honesty I'm not very interested in it.
I have the original Wii and I love it. But to drop a couple hundred on a system that has a huge game pad just doesn't seem cool.

Maybe that's why I'm so addicted and expecting to play ACNL for a long time. The DS systems are just so convenient and uhmazing.

if it is.. *drowns in own tears*
i really don't want to buy another game console just to play one game. the only reason i have a 3ds is to play ACNL, i only use my wii nowadays to play ACCF, and i'm thinking about getting a gamecube just to play animal crossing for the gamecube.
ugh

that's how i feel.
the only reason i don't play ACCF very much is because it's not convenient at all, at least in my opinion. i like being able to play animal crossing in my bedroom, or in the car. i also enjoy being able to simply charge my 3ds instead of using the batteries for the wii remotes, and investing in one of those chargeable wii remotes isn't worth it to me.

I played Animal Crossing on Gamecube for 2 years (back in 2002 when I was 13) before I started losing interest, it was the best AC until New Leaf. Wild Word didn't wow me. And City Folk was a big disappointment, especially with all the hype about the city. New Leaf is the freshest Animal Crossing I have ever played.

The whole battery thing is why I stop playing my Wii frequently actually.

Hopefully ACNL does have a long reign though. Seeing how the Animal Crossing franchise is going, I don't think it's going anywhere any time soon.

I wish the next AC wouldn't be on the WiiU, but without a doubt it will be.

Animal Crossing does not seem fun confined to your television. AC to me is a game far better portable.

The first one (that was released outside of japan) was on a home console, and that one was just fine. I just don't see a strong argument on "convenience".

I will probably play it until the next one comes out :)
With that I mean the next Handheld Version, if they make a WiiU verison I will get that as well :3

Depends, start college in a month or so
will still play it, should last a few years, i always want to check to make sure some of the original 5 stick around, that will be pretty cool having some from the first day still there in years

If AC comes out on Wii U, I will DIE. I like the Wii U and I sort of want it, but like other people said, nowadays we have more "life" to get back to and it's gonna be terrible if I need to sit in my living room for 4 hours.

The Japanese home console version was fine because back then, we had less technology and job things to worry about.
