Hi :) I have a 2-part question having to do with gifting a villager foreign fruit.

First, do you get more over friendship points than you would giving them your native fruit? I am aware that they always give you a gift in return when a foreign fruit is given, but I would like to know if it actually provides more friendship points.

Second, does a coconut count as a foreign fruit when gifting one to a villager? I could test this out but I thought someone might know offhand. No sense reinventing the wheel, so to speak lol :)

Thanks!

Yes, because you get more friendship when a villager gives you a gift in return.

and also yes, since the coconut sells for 250, it'll have the same effect as foreign fruit.

I used to think foreign fruit was worth more, but according to the most recent friendship guide, it sounds like all fruit is only 1 pt, plus a bonus point if wrapped.

you should wrap the fruit too it gives extra points.. there's another thread posted earlier in regard to having a full pocket when gifting the foreign fruit.
