It's going well. I think I planted somewhere between 20 and 30 starts and watered every day. A decent haul. I've managed to get a few DIYs from villagers so I've put a fair few items out on the island. It's beginning to look good. I have managed to customise a few things so not everything I've put out is orange, that looks really good.
For those who do not Time Travel, how did your first Pumpkin harvest go?

I planted 24 pumpkins in two 3x4 patches. I didn't get a single yellow one, but I don't really care because I plan to use only the white variation anyway. I'm also planting them in rows of one color, so the top row is orange, the second one is green, and so on. It's pretty easy to harvest them, as you only have to water them every day so that you get three pumpkins on harvest day, and that's it. They're cute.
originally, i thought i would be fine with the 18 pumpkin slots i made. until my first harvest, and i used all of them to make the DIYs i had, and a lot of the fencing. so then i made another 9 slot pumpkin patch. and then another 12 slot pumpkin patch near my house. now i'll have all the pumpkins i want for my DIYs, decorating, and in general, boomer's farm looks like an actual farm now. resisting the urge to plant more because who needs more than 30 pumpkin plants that give you 3 pumpkins per harvest? out of all the pumpkins i've planted, i only have a few yellow. green is my next least colour, with white being relatively in abundance in comparison. which is fine for me, i like the white customization colours better anyway ^^
