For those Resetting, Airport Color Isn't Random? (I think)

I know there's a thread going around for those resetting to get the perfect map, fruit, & airport colors (possibly villagers too??)

But I don't think airport colors are random! You get to choose when Timmy and Tommy ask you what you would bring to a deserted island
  • A Sleeping Bag (red/orange)
  • A Lamp (yellow)
  • Some Food (blue)
  • Something to kill time (green)
If I remember correctly when I started my game I restarted 4-5 times to get peaches & blue airport, when I chose the last option I always got green, then I tried the second one and got yellow, then I did the third option and got blue and continued to get blue until I was happy with my starters and fruit

I know a lot of people stress out that they get the right map but not the right airport color so maybe this will help? I even looked at guides and they say it "doesn't matter" what you choose but for me, it changed my airport color lol

Hmm, I’m not sure about this because if I recall correctly, when I was resetting at the start I just button mashed through and picked the first option and I have a yellow airport. I might be misremembering, though!

I’m not sure if it’s just a coincidence but I can confirm I chose “some food” and have a blue airport!

i honestly can’t remember what i picked so i cant agree or disagree with this but it’d be nice if that question did actually determine something!

That's interesting! I wonder if it's tied to your own switch on which ones will give you what? o: as in maybe if you tried each of the four you would figure out which would give you blue or green each time

Also I could be misremembering as well LOL, I only clearly remembered green/blue and chose the top two once or twice!

I chose something to kill time and have green. Though I feel like this pattern would have been noticed earlier if true, as I know a lot of people were experimenting with getting airport colors, flowers, etc. to get their perfect islands.

I don't know about that, I am pretty certain it is random. I chose something to kill time twice (I reset for fruit) and the first time I had yellow and the second time I had blue

I chose the something to kill time option and got the green airport, so that lines up well with your idea!

My boyfriend and I both picked "something to kill time" on our islands and we got different color airports.
Mine is green and I believe his is either orange or yellow.
Edit: I checked, his airport is orange!

It would make sense for that question to determine something I suppose because most of not all previous AC games have had a series of questions to determine things such as your appearance and where your home is located. (I chose food because I thought the in game mom might send you a different fruit but that happens anyways 🤣)

Yeah I don't think this is true because I chose the something to kill time option and ended up with the yellow airport.

That's interesting, i feel like the colors may not be correct, but I wonder if the question itself has something to do with airport colors? I wish it was more clearly laid out, I feel like in old AC games, the questions you chose had a direct impact on the colors/image of your character! But it may really just be RNG o: I didn't reset enough to see if it was random and the times I did reset I got those colors!

I was just thinking that!!! LOL I feel like AC games (Wild World especially) had that intro where your questions determined your character appearance! I feel like it's so suspicious they added that questionnaire for "no reason" LOL

I remember that long taxi ride in the rain with Kapp’n lol! I hated having to reset and go through it all just to get the right map and fruit 🤣 yeah I don’t think that the questionnaire is for no reason, it must determine something! No one can convince me otherwise, it’s too suspicious :3

i just mashed through the introductory dialogue to reset and i got green... i doubt past me would actually choose an answer every time.
