For those Resetting, Airport Color Isn't Random? (I think)

I got green and I chose sleeping bag. I know this going to be taken with gain of salt but when asked the devs said the question didn’t do anything. I think its just there as a callback to the past games

I feel like they should've made it attributed to something xD Some of us want more control on each aspect, I was pretty lucky to get what I wanted (blue + peaches) but I know this would remove one layer of stress for those who are looking for the right combo of fruit, map, and airport color!

I reset over 30 times at release to get a green airport, it was my number one criteria. I chose something to kill time every single time, so I can confirm that this is not true, unless it was patched later.

That's interesting! I wonder if it's tied to your own switch on which ones will give you what? o: as in maybe if you tried each of the four you would figure out which would give you blue or green each time

Also I could be misremembering as well LOL, I only clearly remembered green/blue and chose the top two once or twice!

That could be! It’d certainly explain why it seems to be consistent for you while other people are saying it’s random.
I’m actually planning to reset again once the 2 people I’m sharing with are able to get another switch to share between themselves and I can be alone on my island, so maybe when the time comes I’ll test this theory out.

I actually started a new island recently and picked the first option to save time, but I got the blue airport!
though I did the same in my other island and got the orange one

weird. people seem to be very mixed in this thread but I picked something to kill time and got green, and my brother picked a lamp and got yellow. could be worthwhile surveying people and seeing if anything affects the airport colour or if it is just truly random

I do die inside every time I see my green airport, I wish I got a blue one so much lol. hopefully we get an update where we can just change it

Hello!! i'm not sure if this is true cuz i resetted for 12 hours LOL i wanted a really specific design and combination of things but after the first few tries i just kept button mashing and got all differetn colours of the air port c:

Yes I did see a variety of people get different answers!! It's interesting because some got the same colors as I did whereas other got a different one? o: did you happen to keep track of which answers gave you what or you just kept picking random answers? I didn't reset for as long LOL (maybe 2 hours?) but I recall I got the same colors when I chose a specific answer ;;

At first i did think that maybe there was a correlation between the answers and the colour we got (or maybe the fruit etc) so I tried to keep thigns consistent- e.g. if picking food got me cherries then i would keep picking it, but after awhile it seemed that it was random cuz I was getting different colours regardless of my answer so i gave up keeping track (sorry i don't have a list :c)

i honestly don't remember which option i chose ;; but i have a blue airport and i either said "something to kill time" or "some food", so this might be right? but it also might not be. it makes sense considering the way the ac franchise has historically made us choose questions to determine appearance, but not sure judging from other people's answers on here!
