flowers you use the least to decorate?

I really don't like the pansies. The colors don't really match my theme. I bred them in all colors just for the sake of it but they never really left my hybrid garden area. I won't really use them to decorate. I definitely use roses, windflowers, and cosmos the most!

Pansies, I’ve never liked them, which is a shame because they’re my islands flower, but I’ve dug most of them up

I don't like lilies that much because I prefer big fluffier flowers that kind of cover the whole square, so I'm not a fan of the long slender design of lilies that kind of leaves lots of blank space around it if that makes sense.

I want all flower varieties and colors on my island, but I don't like cosmos and lilies. So I'm probably going to put these someplace I don't visit often, or probably scatter them around.

It mostly depends on the colors to be honest. I'm not a fan of the roses, but in the meantime the purple roses are kinda dark which is great in a forest area. Same with the cosmos. Not a big fan, but the whites are good. I think the pansies are the one I haven't used very much. For as far as I know just in 1 area and only because they started to grow a lot there and I'm too lazy too dig them out haha. But they will get replaced too.

Edit: nope. Blue pansies are beautiful in the forest so I used those too haha. Then it will be the windflowers I think.

Gold roses. I don't like how they mix with other flowers.

Tulips and pansies in general I don't use that often. If they are in my mixes, it's just two or three

Outside of the hybrids, I find the cosmos to be very bland an unappealing compared to the rest of the available flowers and don't use them for any sort of decoration. I just have some blacks, oranges, and pinks sitting in a corner, merely to have them since I wanted to have at least a few of all of the different flower hybrids. They're definitely my least used.

Lillies have also gotten the short end of the stick for me in New Horizons. They look nice in this game, but I never really ended up with a use for them. They got a lot more use for me in New Leaf.

Mums and tulips are fairly unused as well. I have purple mums surrounding the house of one of my player characters because that shade of purple is gorgeous, and they're the only ones that have a function for me. I also have green and pink mums, as well as black, pink, purple, and orange tulips, but as of now they haven't held any actual design function either. I might find a use for at least one of the tulip varieties once I move a couple resident houses and then move my shops around, but as of right now, yeah, they're just there to look pretty. Except for the green mums, I actually rather dislike the way the green mums look, I just have some for completion's sake.

On the flipside, I get a ton of use out of roses and hyacinths, usually around villager and player character houses. I also have orange hybrid pansies surrounding Nook's Cranny, blue windflowers surrounding the Able Sisters' shop, pink windflowers at the entrance to the island once you leave the airport, and orange windflowers surrounding the Resident Services plaza. I think windflowers were my native flower, so it sort of just happened that way, but I do like how they look.

Not a big fan of the pansies. I mainly have roses all across my island currently.

I don't have any pansies at all on my island. I'm not really a big fan of how they look at all. I also only have a few cosmos hybrids here and there.

Pansies and tulips are probably my least favorite. The only tulips I like are purple, and the only pansies I like are the orange ones (blue ones are okay too), so I try to limit how much I have them on my island. I love tulips IRL, but there's something about how they look in game that's unappealing to me. Pansies are the same way, though I prefer them to tulips in game if I had to choose!

I'm very surprised that I haven't seen anyone mention these so far in this thread, but I'd have to say Mums for sure. They just don't fit in well with any of my themes or areas so far on my island, and honestly they just look like really boring versions of hyacinths to me personally lol. I can get why people would like them, since I can imagine that they would look very nice along with the Mum cushions in game (which also seem to be pretty popular). However, considering that I don't like those either, there's just been no valid reason for me to really use Mums so far at all. To be fair though, I don't really decorate with most other flowers all too much either, since I just love hyacinths way too much in this game. I also tend to prefer using weeds, bushes, and trees for some greenery instead of flowers, since i'm going for more of a forest theme on my island right now.

I mostly have hybrid colors left on my island. Idk, the primary colors of most of the flowers like reds and yellows are too bright for me. It's mostly blue, purple, black and white flowers right now. Lot of hyacinths and roses, very few black cosmos, orange pansies, and green mums.

Windflowers, they are probably my least favorite flower so I'm only using a few of them in different areas.

Non-hybrids. I believe I have two on my island hiding somewhere, but otherwise, I avoid them like COVID.

Despite being my native flower, I don’t use lilies all that much. Just for Bones’ area and a few black lilies here and there.

Pansies and roses. For me, the pansies are really nice looking, but the red ones are darker than other red flowers (so don't blend in well with other red varieties), and the white and yellow ones' center colors also make them hard to pair with other flowers.

Roses, for me, are a bit too one-tone. I would like it if the petals had a little bit of variegation or were darker in the centers/at the bottoms to give the flower more depth.

I also only use red and pink windflowers. I find that the rest of them are sort of odd shades (like the orange), or too plain (white, blue).
