These villager keep being annoying. They interfere with my hybrid breeding on the beach too!!! No matter how far I plant them from the ramp! Argh!!!

What do you mean by interfering? As in they trample them, or they plant other flowers next to them?

They shouldn't trample them; from experience, they never usually run.

As for planting other coloured flowers that you don't need, they do that when you have the Beautiful Town Ordinance in place. Try removing that?

They plant flowers next to them. I'm trying to grow red hybrid pansies and they keep planting normal red pansies. So I could never tell if I'm actually getting hybrids or not.

Another thing I can do is close the 3ds, wait till everyone sleeps and then save and quit.

Yes, I've seen villagers mess up my hybriding on the beach. Some players put in the public works fence and do their planting within it. villagers don't plant inside the fence

Not true. I saw a villager plant something inside the fence. Not the moment they planted it, but there was a empty spot and later it was filled. I didn't plant anything.

That sucks. I have never used the fence myself. My map has a little isolated beach that you have to swim to and that's where I bred the pure flowers.

That's convenient.

Maybe I should collect many pitfalls. If they attempt to get near my patch, I will know they have been trying to get there.

Regarding the empty spot, could it have been a flower sprouting from your already planted flowers?

Also, maybe you could try fencing off your flowers by digging holes around them. Villagers don't really use their shovels (regardless of them having them), so you could fence off your flowers with 1 square around each side so they can cross-breed, and then fill in the holes when you need to water them the next day.

I had this problem. I moved the flowers onto the private beach I had (no ramp leading down to it) but sometimes villagers would walk around on there too! Like how do they even get there when there isn't a ramp!

i think i had that problem once trying to grow the red-orange pansies. i never saw it as that big of a deal though, because then i just have to remove it.
but it was mentioned earlier so i wanna throw this out there just in case anyone's worried: when villagers run it doesn't trample the flowers. it only happens if a human character is running through them.

It was a common flower you could buy from Leif.

They just spawn there, for some odd reason.

Hybrids can still produce common flowers. So if you have a patch of pink roses for example, they can still produce simple white and red roses, as well. Sorry if I misunderstood and you already knew that. But if you didn't, it might be that instead of your villagers purposely sabotaging your plans, your hybrids are simply making unwanted babies.

I've seen villagers on my beach too.

Do you have more than one beach one your map? They've never planted flowers on my private beach even though it has a ramp leading down to it too. They only seem to do it on the main one in my game.

The idea of fencing them off using holes is a good one. And unless you see villagers wandering around your beach sometimes (check on different days and hours), it's safest to assume that the flowers have spawned by themselves. They can still produce flowers that look identical to them, it's just the genetics that might be different. They don't automatically spawn a visibly hybrid flower every time.

I have two beach sections. They get on both beaches.

I have always bred hybrids on my beach & I've never really had a problem with villagers planting more flowers next to them. I do sometimes see villagers on the beach but they never do anything.

Guess they don't like the beach in my town. ^^;

I actually found a way to sorta avoid this (at least for my purposes of Puple and Blue roses and orange/pink lillies.) I set all my roses (blue in one section and purple in another part of the town.) and then I made a mini garden of lillies (and another closer to a villager's house.). I watered both, but villagers only wanted to add to the one closer to the house. That, once read over, sounds dumb. Maybe I just don't pay enough attetion to where they plant.
