Flies on trash

I left rotting turnips out and was able to get flies and ants very shortly after dropping the turnip

Yup, got ants AND flies by doing this as well...

If only I let them rot intentionally instead of buying 250,000 worth and accidentally going backwards by 30 minutes to reopen my nook shop one day. Oof

I put down 2 tires and a boot I fished up all together on my beach. Make sure you can approach easily so you don't scare them off. I caught a fly pretty quickly that way.

For ants, it was almost instantaneous. Put a turnip down, went inside, and they were there when I came out.

I for the life of me cannot get a fly to spawn on either trash or spoiled turnips.

I use to leave tin cans on my beach for weeks when the game was first released, and for being a bug that spawns all day-all year, I have not seen a single fly yet

I got a fly by just leaving one tire out away from my home. Maybe try that. I got flies back to back that way, but then haven’t seen them much since.

I threw 3 cans, a rotten turnip, and a tire in my back yard and went in and out of my house a few dozen times. Nothing yet. I'll just have to keep an eye out the next few days. I don't feel like spending any more time looking today

i usually get flies when i drop a rotten turnip! i find that's the most efficient method for flies & ants c:
