Fishing Tourney prize repeats?

I’ve done about 25 rounds of the fishing tourney today and I still haven’t got an anchor or a cooler BUT I have received five (!) fish prints, three fish drying racks and two fish pochettes!

I might be wrong, but I thought the prizes only repeated once you had cycled through them all? I got all the prizes in the last fishing tourney (April?) but I am constantly getting repeats now.

Maybe cause you already got them all before, so now you will get random ones.

Sorry, should have put this in my first post. I recently got a second character on my island which hasn’t competed in any fishing tourneys before. They got two fish prints one after the other as prizes...

I think the first time it gives you one of each and then after that, it's random

Weird, maybe it changed with the update or another little bug

Did your second character catalog them and are your repays the same color

Nope they didn’t catalogue them. The racks were all the normal fish ones and the prints were all squids... maybe you get one design per island (I know they’re customisable).

Doesn’t look like you can get anymore trophies. I got over 100 points today and CJ didn’t mention the trophy. I guess I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to be certain.

The points do carry over from last fishing tourney. With that logic alone, I presume that this also includes getting one of each prizes.

Uh oh that doesn't sound good. This will by my second fishing tourney, but I did not receive all the prizes last time so I was hoping to get the ones I missed today. That sucks that you keep getting repeats, I hope this is just a bug that they can fix

I have played at least 4-5 fishing tourneys - it is v hard to get certain items. Rod stand and Drying racks have been hardest for most of tourneys, in our experience. My sister and I had over 1000 points together and got like 20 fish print tees last time round. I’m also not sure the whole freebie thing is legit...

I got four fish-drying racks today. I just gave up after that. Lol. Pretty sure I have everything from the last tourney anyway. But, yeah...my haul for today was something like...two wallpapers, one fish-wand, and then four drying racks for no good reason. I just lost the will to keep fishing after that.

I got 2 rod stands and 2 drying racks but no fish print tees so far lol

I'm playing on my second character this time and I had them catalog all the fishing tourney items I didn't want dupes off, and CJ only gave me prizes that I didn't catalog... I stopped after I got one of each prize I wanted, and I didn't get any dupes.

Are you sure your second character hasn't picked up the anchor or cooler before (i.e. if you check your catalog they aren't there)?
