Fishing Tourney prize repeats?

The points do carry over from last fishing tourney. With that logic alone, I presume that this also includes getting one of each prizes.

Yeah, I only played a little today but all my prizes were new for me and points carried over from April

Are you sure your second character hasn't picked up the anchor or cooler before (i.e. if you check your catalog they aren't there)?

Yeah, 200% sure

try saving before trading for a reward, if its a dupe, turn it off and try again. It resets the prize.

wow that's bad RNG. I think after you obtain everything it becomes random. it doesn't cycle the full set over and over again.

You could also try checking the trading forums after today. I bet there will be members willing to swap prizes or sell one to you for cheap!

I hit the gold trophy the first tourney, so today was just for the Nook Miles Achievement. I ended up getting two drying racks, two anchors, two tees, and two pochettes. Not sure why the duplicate of each, but 50% of those were good prizes

I think the fishing prizes are way, wayyyyyy better then the bug off’s prizes. But then again, bugs are gross and fish are cool, so probably not a coincidence!

I'm playing on my second character this time and I had them catalog all the fishing tourney items I didn't want dupes off, and CJ only gave me prizes that I didn't catalog... I stopped after I got one of each prize I wanted, and I didn't get any dupes.

They definitely didn’t pick them up, but I think I will try that method! Thanks for the tip

Good luck!! Hopefully it works for you, I only wanted dupes of the anchor, fish drying rack, fishing rod stand, and the cooler and I got them all in 40 points so hopefully you can too!!

I was looking for another anchor and ended up buying one (quite cheap) on Nookazon! Good result in the end I guess.

On my first fishing tourney I got a different item every time until I had all of them, CJ started giving me randoms. Today he also gave me randoms after he gave me 2 wands, 2 walls and 2 rugs right after another I called it quits.

If only this game had a save and continue option (which is bs that it doesn't like in NL)
