Fishing rods?

What's the difference between the regular fishing rod and the silver and golden rods? I know the difference with all the other tools (I think) but I've never really known what the difference is with the fishing rods?

iirc the delay time between the fish biting and swimming off is lengthened and it'll also grab the fish's attention easier?

if correct than gold does it best (longest delay, easiest attraction), regular worst (worst delay and attraction) .... silver middle-of-the-road obviously

It is easier to catch fish with the golden rod yet hardest with the regular rod

Oh ok, thanks! I have the silver fishing rod and I've never really noticed a difference, but I don't fish often anyway so I guess I wouldn't notice. Is that the same sort of thing with the net too?

The net has a bigger capture area with silver and gold, making it easier to get bugs.

It's very easy to catch fish with the golden fishing rod. Made catching the hard to get fish easier.
Player 2 and 3 borrowed the mayor fishing rod. Caught everything fast and now have their own golden fishing rod.

humorously, I think I'll just put the gold rod/net in storage once I get

since silver variations function more than well enough for me, and I prefer them visually over their gold counterparts
