Fish bait

Is there a particular reason that fish bait has become such a popular request? Is it part of a DIY that I don't know about? Am I missing something? Lol

I think it's because there are some really rare fish exclusive to the pier available at this time of year, so being able to spawn them in makes it easier to find them. Otherwise you're at the mercy of the normal spawns, and probably it's easy to not catch those fish at all during their whole season, since they're so uncommon.

It's a serious pain to catch all the clams then craft the bait one by one..... I did 50 once and said never again!

Someone could open a bait shop, do nothing but craft bait and make bank would be my guess...

My beach is currently covered with villager homes for future terraforming so it makes finding manilla clams quite difficult. Also crafting 1 at a time is so ughs.. I'd rather just buy it at the moment.

The golden trout is leaving after this month so that might also be why.

If your trying to catch rarer fish it's easier to use fish bait. However you can't bulk craft and making like 30 TAKES AGES!!

maybe because of the mahi mahi? that would be my best guess! if it’s so popular though i may have to get fish bait crafting and selling for tbt or nmt

Personally, after I got the clam-digging miles achievement I stopped bothering with fish bait. Every rare fish I've ever gotten was a normal spawn, the bait never made a difference for me. Guess I just have stupidly good RNG? Maybe if I get desperate one day I'll try it more, but rn nah

absolutely tedious to craft them one by one, so i guess everyone has been using it as an example of how crafting can b improved in game
