The new villager pics look so good! I was always a bit sad that the picture part was so small in NL. These are nice and big!

I know! I just wish pictures weren’t so grindy now! I have a room full of pictures on New leaf and I wanna remake it but I don’t see anyone selling me their pictures with how long it takes now!

Yes but they can’t be ordered and the villager gives you it themself and they have a customizable frame around them

I haven't started really trying for pictures yet, but since the portraits are so easy to get with Harvey's Island, I like that you have to work for it. I feel like that feeling will be super satisfying when I finally get one! My goal is to not let anyone move out until I get their picture, so it might take a while!

It's kind of bittersweet because I've been forcing myself to let villagers move on when I get their pictures and they were both on my island from the very beginning but I have them both displayed in my house.

do you guys know if fruit is ok to gift the villagers to get pictures? whenever I gift them non-native fruit they almost always just give me bells in return. reeeaallly want sherb's pic :(

I think fruit is okay, but I think what really gets animals to want to give you their pictures is if they've reached high enough friendship with you and if the game just randomly decides to let an animal give you a photo for doing something for them/giving them a gift they'll want to take (I don't think they'll take things like trash items you try giving them)

Congrats!! I got Teddy’s pic after giving him a shirt that he really liked and now frequently wears, and Chief’s after giving him medicine when he was sick. I can’t wait to get more of them—especially Punchy’s!

I just got Camofrog’s pic! He’s a permanent resident so I wasn’t in a hurry for his, but it’s odd because he was my 10th villager. I should be best friends with all of my animals at this point so it’s just random luck.

I just got my first photo yesterday from Sherb. He had asked me to get him a sea bass and his gift back was his photo. Best New Horizons moment for me. He’s my favorite character so far so I was really happy to receive that.
