Today I had the age old arguement of Browsers with my Uncle.
This was brought up when I was searching something for mum and I was telling her how Firefox worked faster than IE for me on my laptop and she should swap, my uncle stepped in saying I was talking Bull*censored.2.0* and that IE was good enough and alot better.

Now I have used Internet explorer for 99% of my computing life, firefox for 0.8% and safari for 0.1% and Opera for another 0.1%.

Now I find Firefox ALOT easier to use than Internet explorer, plus its HELL of alot faster (homescreen takes less than 5 seconds but on IE it takes 10-20 seconds to load). The only problem is that window which comes up to tell you what downloads are happening and how long they are taking (I dont mind it though when i am downloading my episodes of one piece.)
Internet explorer I use RARELY now and only used for a game I cannot play on firefox.
Opera is for the Wii and its OK. But I dont like it tbh.
Safari.... just no.
Google Chrome I've NEVER used.
Okay your thoughts? I raise the flag for Firefox!

I heard Google chrome is very fast... And I do look for faster browsers (considering I play Runescape now and I usually run 20 tabs due to downloads, Facebook and Gaia online.)
Worth getting or not?

Yeah. It's both fast and reliable.

I'll do that tommorow then.
Saying of which i had better go to bed soon, I've already slept through 1 day of college this week :L

I've tried all of those, and I have to say that Firefox seems to work the best. I've had the least amount of problems out of it. With the others, I have problems of constant freezing, and the interfaces are confusing.

Maybe we should make a thread where some of us each take a browser and we MUST live with it for a week, then post the ups and downs.

Firefox is fast! It can handle a buttload of tabs. 8D I love that fiery little fox. <3

Internet Explorer is gawd awful, and I don't really know anything about other browsers.

I was considering looking into Chrome, but then I forgot. XD

That's a pretty slip up right there.

Make sure you don't forget to not swim in the ocean or they'll drag you back down into the abyss as revenge. ._.

They did.

Twice

Firefox is fastest.
I tried Safari. I think it's got a great interface and it's fast, but there's some problems. Apple has this obsession with taking software that's great on Macs, and butchering it when they convert it. For instance, Safari doesn't open up within the safari tab on the Windows 7 taskbar, it opens another tab. Itunes does the same thing. :/
Chrome is fast, but too minimalistic for my tastes.
Internet explore crashes on me regularly, and I have 8 Gb's of RAM. Wth?

So, my ordering is this.

FF>Chrome=Safari>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>IE

PC: Chrome > Safari = Firefox = Opera >>>>>>> IE
Mac: Safari > Chrome > Firefox.

Firefox is going downhill fast, it's falling behind on just about every aspect. Unless they get their act together everyone will be switching to other browsers ;P
