I'm finally getting T&T Emporium!! I've had TIY for over 3 months, and today Gracie was in my town and I passed one last check!

That's wonderful news! It seems that every time Gracie visits she gives me a HORRIBLE theme and I have to scramble between my characters to order the items before the deadline.
Now I have to dread it one more time because of my Main Town reset.

Good for you. I got mine before I restarted, people were so kind enough to help me pass. I had a cute fashion check, but I didn't ask people to help because I have a cute outfit I wear sometimes.

Yeah, she gave me a historical theme today and I almost failed xD and there was one time I couldn't pass at all because it was ornate and I didn't have a crown or anything.

Anyway, Historical happens to be my favorite. So many items from it I love! Ninja shirt, Samurai Shirt, Scale-Armor Suit! I just love it a lot!
I don't see how people don't pass. It doesn't have to look good or anything, you should see the horrific outfits she approves of! By the point where Gracie shows up, people should have quite a bit of clothes in their catalog. You only need a few pieces that match the theme, hat, shirt/dress, bottom, shoes...and you can look up online what articles fall under which theme, www.moridb.com is the easiest. Then you just order from catalog, and at 5, when the mail comes, you're ready.
The only hard part about the Gracie visits, is waiting for her lazy butt to come to town. XD
That's assuming the player actually buys clothes. I just designed myself a huge pile of pattern stuff as soon as I got the game. When Gracie started showing up I only had a scatter of random crappy villager-gift shirts in my catalog. I didn't know I was going to need the standard clothing items and I never liked anything I saw in Able Sisters (I can do better!) so I never bought any of it. Oops. lol
Oh, I didn't think of that. XD Well, there are people in the Re-Tail Forum that could help you out, if you just need a quick outfit. I collected everything IG, so I bought it all. But I agree, 99% of it doesn't appeal to me. I wear mostly QR dresses too.
