So I reset my town two weeks ago and have been playing daily without TTing, and I ended up with, in my opinion, the worst possible villagers (darn you Murphy's Law!). Now I could've obviously reset, but I didn't want to; I wanted to play it like a new player. If you look in my signature, the original villagers were all the listed ones EXCEPT Agnes, Phil, Aurora, and Eugene.

Obviously I have wanted all the villagers to move out so I can get my dreamies, but there are certain ones I REALLY want to get rid of -- Tabby, Cousteau, and Limberg. About five days ago, Agnes, my only obtained dreamie, asked to move out but I stopped her of course. Then yesterday Limberg asked to move out! :D

I have nothing against the little guy, he's just not a villager I would like, and he's moving out the 30th.

SOMETHING I HAVE LEARNED
I learned some important things by trying to get my villagers to move out. The main one being that if you want a villager to move, be nice to them and they will budge sooner or later.

I hope this advice helps you. Just remember to do their deeds as usual and *TALK TO THEM THE FIRST DAY THEY ARRIVE*.

Question of the Post (QOTP): What is the one villager you wanted to move out forever, and he/she finally budged, and you rejoiced?

Sly i HATED Sly...he ruined my peach trees and put his house ontop of my black roses and i had to breed them up ALLLL over again. I beat him with my net, i pushed him into like 20 pitfall seeds. I didn't know you had to be nice to him for him to move. I warmed up to him in the end but i needed him gone because he was ruining or delaying plans i had. I would for sure get him back tho. My birthday wish was "Sly to move out" not to long after that, he did but now i'm stuck with "Sly to move out that was your birthday wish right?" for a year (well will be a year next February).

I find that it doesn't matter if you talk to them when they move in or if you wait until later. However, it's best to talk to them and do favors regularly to speed up the moving process.

When I first started my new town I ended up with two villagers I really disliked: Biff and Coach. Biff moved out right away but ended up going to my other town via void, which I still had at the time. Coach moved in from my other town via void, and I never talked to him, beat him with my net and everything else. I knew it would take him forever to leave but I didn't care. He eventually moved out without even telling me and I celebrated.
As for Buff, he never moved out of my old town despite my constant time traveling. So when I deleted it, he got deleted as well.

I found out the "be nice" thing the hard way. I tried ignoring. I tried being mean, by pushing them and beating them with a net and denying requests. For whatever reason, they want to stay longer if you're mean to them. But if you're best friends, they want to get away ASAP. Wolfgang is my best friend. He sends me gifts in the mail every day. He is ALWAYS asking to move out.

NO, YOU ARE STAYING. I LOVE YOU!

Sit down friends because it's time for story time with Shan. Life was great in the good ol' town of Kyoshi, but then my younger sister was begging me to visit my town. I let her come in for a few minutes before I had her leave so I could go pick up my last dreamie, Rudy. So she comes, she frolics, she stomps out a few hybrids, and then she leaves. And when I TT to the next day because I'm very particular about having my villagers move in on the day that I got them and not a few days after, I was running to my train station when I ran into a villager plot right in the middle of my longest path.

Genji.

Oh how I hated him. He was literally right in the middle of the path, which was in a narrow place in my town and made it extremely difficult to go around his house. Not to mention that his house was filled with fish and his catchphrase was something ridiculous thanks to my sister. And he didn't leave. He refused to. I tried being mean. I tried ignoring him. I tried being nice. But he just refused to leave. So I ended up having to let go of one of my dreamies, Pierce, in order to Genji go. I was furious.

The day Genji finally decided to leave my town was better than the day that Rocket moved out without telling me. And I celebrated with ice cream IRL when Rocket left. I cried tears of joy.

Gladys. Gladys. Gladys. Only a few days after moving into my town, she decides to move RIGHT where I wanted to put my campsite. I ignored her for long periods of time, hoping one day she'd move out but she would NEVER ping to move out. So I had to make sacrifices. I had to be nice to her and OH how it pained me to talk to her.

I was really happy when Paula finally moved out because she put her house too close to mine. She was so stubborn in moving and I ignored her most of the time when she lived in my town.

I tried to get Purrl out of my town. She finally asked to move, and I was like YES! But she wanted to stay to 'improve our friendship'. Can't we improve our friendship towns apart? I mean absence makes the heart grow fonder. . .
