It took me six silver axes, but I finally got the musical note and cloverleaf stump patterns! Yayyy!!
What stump patterns do you have, and how did you get them?

I only have the triforce and nook leaf from cutting down all the trees in my town for remodeling. I recently also got the butterfly while moving trees!

Yeah, but now my town is nearly done! No more cutting haha. I used a ton of regular ones to level my town the first time, then I've been using the golden one

You can always chop down a couple of trees and replant them in the same place. Especially if you get some silver axes from the island, because they give a pattern stump every time!

Do they? Wow I didn't even know that. So the gold axe is only good for never breaking?

Yes, the gold axe is mostly good for never breaking. Its supposed to give you stump patterns once in awhile, but I've never had any stump patterns from mine, and I've chopped down a ton of trees with it. I've gotten a couple from regular axes, but its really fun using the silver axe, because you get a pattern every time. Then you can pick which ones you want to keep. I really wanted the musical note and cloverleaf. Finally got them!

But the silver axe does break, just not as soon as the regular one.

They're from the island, but when I saw one there I didn't know what it was for, so I didn't get it.
So I ended up paying lots of bells to buy some on tbt. Totally worth it!!!

I have a silver axe, but I'm too lazy to plant more trees at the moment, also since I'm trying to layout my town with paths, trees, and bushes and I'm not quite sure where to place them all yet.
I currently have one Ginko Leaf stump in front of my fire pit. I had a Tri Force but I accidentally dug it up :c

Finally got my Music Note My stump quest is complete I use the 2 swings with the gold axe and 1 with the silver axe method as well. Works great and saves your silver axe.

Using another axe for two swings is a really good idea. I didn't think of that, and didn't read about it until I had used up all my silver axes. Lol
