I hope not. Waluigi's moveset would be made up of karts, tennis rackets, golf clubs, and yeah no. I'd rather not have a character with a spin off based moveset. I love Toad but he barely has any options for a moveset.

Ridley fits the criteria perfectly. Unfortunately, Ridley is Ridley. Will Sakurai change his mind so soon?

Keep in mind this is just a rumor.

Sakurai already stated his stance on Ridley so I doubt we'll get him. I hope they save inklings for Smash 5 as one of the big character reveals, but it's very possible they'll get in. I don't think the costume of K. Rool de-confirms him, but if we had to get another Kong i'd like Dixie. I'd love Shantae and Wayfoward is pushing to get her into smash, I loved Shovel Knight but i'd prefer Shantae over him.

I don't really care for Wolf but I feel like Wolf is very likely especially if he gets an amiibo with Starfox Zero and all. Not to mention we got Lucas so.

King K. Rool is probably not gonna be added into the game since the costume
and Ridley is like already in the game and Sakurai doesn't want to add him in

I don't really want Inklings to be in smash 4, I would much rather want them to be in the next smash game to be like the one character that everyone looks forward to.

I think that another kong will be added tbh. idk

King K was given a mii costume because of his absence in the series, similar to why Chrom and Young link were given mii costumes.
Samus has a costume because samus is samus.

Totally ignoring these mii costumes, it still isn't going to be King K because he's not massively popular. The leak also stated that this new character rumoured to come is very popular at the moment, and obviously isn't King K because the only time he's ever discussed is when it comes to smash bros (and that barely happens). AS well as the fact that it was stated that the character doesn't have any related stages in smash bros already (which instantly eliminates the odds of it being Ridley or King K).

Odds are that it's going to be either an Inkling or a significant character from splatoon, since that's the only first-party game that's churned up enough hype in the Nintendo community as of late.

Plot Twist: The fighter ballot was actually for Mii fighter costumes which they've been adding with each update.
