Everyone needs one of these in space! But the actual name I believe is a power suit, and it's probably to protect her from space creatures and all that. As for the villains, there's that green frog lizard thing in one of the stages in Melee, the virus Dark Samus is made out of in a Prime game, and Mother Brain (as you can tell I've never done anything with Metroid so I'm basically limited to SMASH knowledge).
