the shining. one of my favorite horror books too. I absolutely love horror movies so I'll probably be creeping this thread for awhile to see if anyone has any good ones I should watch!

I really like silence of the lambs and rosemary baby, I like the horror movies which aren't all about jumscares. The classics are my favourite.

I don't know, i always watch horrors but I don't have a favorite. I like psychological horrors much more than gore-y films/slashers, I need to find some good horror movies that are actually scary

It's mostly gore than horror, but I like SAW. Jigsaw can get pretty creative.

I love Girly, Tourist Trap, Alice Sweet Alice, and Amityville Horror.

I don't know if I consider Mulholland Dr. a horror movie but the man behind Winkie's gave me the most visceral reaction ever. My whole body tensed up and I thought I was screaming but I didn't make any noise. I'm not kidding when I say I didn't sleep for days. Aw man, I love that movie so much.

A lot of people say that the distorted face at the end of Inland Empire is more traumatic but it didn't really phase me. But, man. That guy behind Winkie's...

Other than Muholland Drive I would have to go with Rosemary's Baby.

Agreed, I really love the entire diner scene. the atmosphere of dread lynch was able to create is amazing

I think my favorite would have to be The Ring. I liked the backstory to it and how it's more of a psychological type of movie that messes with your mind than gore. I don't mind gore but there's too many that focus on it more nowadays like Final Destination.

I remember Mirrors freaked me out lmao

Do horror/comedies count? If so, then the Scary Movie series is great fun. My favorite would be Scary Movie 3, it's hilarious.
