Favorite Species in New Horizons?

I hate that cats are winning. Like their model isn't BAD but it could use some variance... Why do none of them have fluffy tails, for instance?

Also, I hate that dogs all have floppy ears. I think if they kept the face rounded then it would still be different enough from wolves (think Copper).

Deer! I never had a deer villager in Wild World so I didn't know they existed. So when I saw my first deer (Lopez!) in my campsite I immediately restarted my game and named my island Nara cause the deer design is so great that I wanted a whole deer island! And now my fav is Zell

I love cats and wolves IRL and have each in my island rn but their designs are a little off for me. The cat ears are a little too sharp and the wolf snouts are so long

and I ended up with two rabbits too cause the way their ears flop a bit when they walk is too precious uwu

Ahh thank you I studied Japanese in college and when I studied abroad in Tokyo I was supposed to visit Nara for a day trip but unfortunately it didn't work out so I'm making my own little Nara until I can visit the real one

I was looking through the characters and the rabbits definitely stood out.
Seeing Chrissy live in my town made me appreciate the way their body moves too.

One downside is when it is snowing and they put on a beanie and their ears dissappear hahahaha

Wolves. As of late, I have been thinking kf making my town only wolf villagers. There is just not a single wolf that isn’t S+ tier for me (Except Chief sorry lol)

I don't think there's one eagle villager I dislike... I can't believe they aren't more popular! All of them are cute and designed well.

I also like the wolves although Lobo is sorta "meh" for me. In New Leaf, I accidentally ended up with around 6 wolves because I just never told them to leave and they accumulated over time!

Eagles are EXTREMELY underrated. We have Celia, Amelia, Sterling and Pierce and people are still sleeping on them. The society we live in...

Collecting the amiibo cards taught me that I adore the horses! I only collected animals I like and I have more horses than the others. The only horses I don’t like are Colton, Clyde, Peaches and Victoria. Second place would be cats and the squirrels take third.

Unpopular opinion maybe but I kinda like the tight shirts on sheep lol. I find it very endearing and also I just feel like the sheep in general got a real glow up in this game. All of the villagers did but I feel that the sheep actually look so soft and cute... I'm also biased because of Dom. My girl Cleo (horse) also looks the best she ever has honestly. This game made them all look so gooood.

For me its's a tie between squirrels and wolves. Squirrels because I find them so adorable and wolves because they're so cool! My fav from both categories is Marshal and Chief!

I never had a favourite species in NL but if I had to choose one, maybe eagles? I still love the eagles though in NH! I just feel like in this game it opened so may doors for me because I got my first wolf villager and squirrel villager (besides Marshal) that I never had before!

I agree, them and the ostriches. I have Apollo, Keaton, Celia and Pierce’s amiibo cards. The ONLY reason I don’t have Avery and Frank is because I had enough crankies as it was. I wish Frank was a jock, especially with his NH letter jacket.

I also notice the Ostriches don’t get love. Phil, Cranston, Julia, Flora and Blanche are all amazing! I love their tails.

I'm super biased, but I LOVE the goats. Sherb is so freaking adorable and I loved the goats before his introduction, but he really completes my little herd. Bunnies are a close second for me though! Also a little biased there though because I have the cutest bunny irl. I also really love the deer!

I'm going to be that basic gal and say wolves. I just... there is not a SINGLE wolf whose design I don't like! They are just all great.
Now that's the only reason I will say that wolves are my favorite despite some of my overall favorites not being wolves.
Out of the wolves, I'd have to say that Kyle and Fang are tied for my top.

If I'm going off of villagers that are my TOP favorites- Goldie, Muffy, Bruce... I have a wide variety and couldn't pick based on that.
HOWEVER! I love, love, LOVE the sheep design and I have a good chunk of favs that are sheep. There are some pretty unappealing sheep- not gonna lie- and a good handful are not too cute to me, but the ones that are cute... are dang friggen cute.

Mine is easily cat villagers. I've had so many on my island and I can't wait to find more of them lol. My favourites are Raymond, Tangy, Ankha and Katt for their different personalities

Squirrels for me! Mint has been my favorite villager ever since I was like 4 years old playing the GameCube version and I always wanted her back in my town in all the later games, New Leaf was the first time I had my own copy of the game and didn't have to share it with my brothers and I was destined to find her...had Marshal and Ricky as my neighbors and BFFs! But never had luck finding Mint right now I have Nibbles, Filbert (he is such a cutie I am obsessed with him!!) and Mint!! Found Mint on an island tour and was prepared to island hop for hours but she was on the first island I went to :') so happy to be reunited I just love how tiny they are and their big tails and they're just so adorable <3 I plan on keeping Mint and Filbert permanently and will let Nibbles leave when she asks, hopefully I can get Peanut lol
