I'm sure quite a few of you like to listen to video game music to relax, or to do some low intensity task such as writing, so I thought I would ask what your favorite tracks are. Even better if it's a relatively obscure game, since then you're introducing people to what its music has to offer.

Flower Town was a game for the 3DS app Streetpass Mii Plaza. I do not believe it sold very well, being a paid extension to an otherwise free product. Despite this, I think it has a few really good music tracks that I never hear anyone talk about. This one here happens to be my favorite.

As you can probably tell from my forum aesthetic before I changed to the spinning penguin avatar, I have a particular affinity for the Pikmin series. It should come as no surprise that I have spent hours in the Piklopedia, listening to this theme.

To my knowledge, Ribbit King was a relatively obscure title, released for the Gamecube and PS2. I haven't played the game in years, so I don't know how good it actually was. What I do know however, is that it has some pretty decent music. Techtron 1 is also a good track from this game, but it's a little too upbeat for this thread in my opinion.

I've heard a bit of Pikmin too, certainly some relaxing, nice pieces across that series.

As for mine, it's difficult to pick an exact favorite, most border between being catchy and relaxing.
Some soundtracks I can think of are these:

- Fez
- Paper Mario series (All except the spinoffs and Sticker Star.)
- Mario Galaxy series (Particularly the first.)
- Donkey Kong Country series
- Hollow Knight
- Celeste
- Gris

I'll likely add more as I think of them! :)
There's also Yume Nikki and Yume 2kki which has a lot of nice ambient short loops.

I gotta go with Knytt Underground. Ambient and moody. Great stuff.

honestly, animal crossing music is the best for me I find those 10 hour long videos on youtube and play it while I do stuff

My favorite thing of all time to listen to is the Night in the Woods soundtrack!! It has these amazingly relaxing tracks, I always listen to the entire thing because it just all goes so well together. It's charming and chill and has such a laid-back autumn vibe that I can't help but love!!

I haven?t heard of this music and the game until in June of 2018. I guess I haven?t grew up with a MAC.
But other than that, this is a very calm and relaxing song, and it would sound like it would belong in Animal Crossing:

I did grow up with this game, and from when I was little until now I still love this theme. And again, it sounds like it could fit in Animal Crossing:

lol Ty the Tasmanian Tiger
I played that game and was like wtf is this

A few of my favorite choices:

This one is relaxing and also nicely upbeat.

This is one of my favorite songs from New Leaf, I could honestly listen to it year-round.

That's a few of my select favorites

I’m sure most people have listened to this by now, but if you haven’t, give it a listen for awhile. It helped me with studying a lot in the past.

I really like listening to zelda music cause they're always so beautiful to listen to and relaxing, but Breath of the Wild music is the only zelda music I don't listen to cause BotW music is very boring, like if you want to fall asleep just listen to lame boring BotW music.
Also some mario music is relaxing for me and maybe like some music from Tomodachi is relaxing.

they should have more peaceful pokemon music in their games

From a racing game, this gives off Animal Crossing vibes for me. :) Aaand that I played this game a lot when I was a young child.

When listening to this, you never feel like you're in danger. Just imagining the scenery compliments the music. :D

For me, the Hero Chao Garden in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle always had such a relaxing and dreamy music.

"Dense Fog Today" from Kirby Air Ride is kinda spooky but also relaxing at the same time in my opinion.

Last but not least: The christmas music from Animal Crossing New Leaf, which is one of my favorite
soundtracks from the game.
