Ha.
Can any of Nintendo's other systems do motion controls? Can they play games like Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, etc.?
brawl was **** compared to melee, in all aspects except for it being appealing to casual gamers moreso. this was said many times in the development blog, and is made very clear through the gameplay as a whole.
the original was amazing, for it's time, imo. might just be the nostalgia talking, but i remember many, many, many, many hours wasted playing that game. many.
super mario galaxy is one game. it may be a very good game, it may have sold the console for plenty, but it is still just one game.
need i bring up how amazing super mario 64 was?
or, super mario world?
or, even super mario sunshine?
motion controls did jack **** for a lot of games, and i really hope it stays away from the mainstream game consoles. i really do.
super nintendo is my favorite console, if only for the excellent controls. the digital input (no analog sticks) is as responsive as you can get, even now. i prefer it to an analog stick in most everything that doesn't require analog input. and you can still feel nintendo holding on to the 8 way direction style today, in their nunchuk and gamecube controllers.
analog only increases control in games where precision and slight movements are key. everything else is done better with digital input for movement, and pretty much everything else. personal opinion.
the wii would not stand up to the snes, n64, or even gamecube, in their prime. of course, to say that they need to be compared, or could ever be, is ******** on my half, but i would prefer my pick of a super nintendo game over my pick of a wii game, anyday.
deal w/it.
