Favorite Mario Party game

Mario party 4-6 were my favorite. Good amount of nostalgia and I thought each was interesting. The new Mario parties I haven?t played much but I didn?t like them too much. But I would say probably 4

I would say 7 is my favourite console title, as I think the boards and minigames are the best of the bunch, although I think 3 would be up there if only I could find a copy! I also love Mario Party DS for nostalgia alone, I used to play it before school everyday. There's very few minigames I disliked, which is rare! That train 1 vs 3 is probably my favourite.

I like 6 and 7 a lot. They seem the most polished among the Hudson Mario Party games, also cool as a cucumber is the best minigame theme. Mario Party 8 had a weird style which I wasn't particularly fond of. The wide screen bars are also highly annoying to me. I'd rather stretch out the screen tbh.

I'm surprised that a lot of people say Mario Party 4. The first one I played was Mario Party 5 so I may be a bit biased but to me it seems that Mario Party 5 is better than 4 in every way. Mario Party 4 feels like a GameCube adaptation of the 64 games (I think this is also what they were going for because the early boxart showed the characters with their 64 era designs). I'm not sure if that's a good thing, everything in that game feels extremely slow and it looks a bit rough visually too.

Is this just a case of nostalgia or am I too nitpicky???

Nah I've always kinda felt the same way. It also doesn't have anything too interesting that makes it worth going back to imo.
