What are your favorite video game series?

Mario Series
Animal Crossing Series
LittleBigPlanet Series
InFamous Series
Uncharted Series
Soul Calibur Series
Halo Series
Call of Duty Series
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Series
Star Wars (KoTOR, TFU, JK, BF,)Series
Legend of Zelda Series

Mario wins. Legend of Zelda is very closely in second.

But most of my favorite games aren't that good as a series, i.e. Call of Duty 4 and Halo 2.

That's... one game. It hasn't even qualified as a series yet. And Uncharted and LBP only have two games so far.

There is a sequel coming out soon, err, not sure when though.

But hey, it's good enough for me.

Not sure if it counts but I genuinely love the Final Fantasy 7 Compilation, and I'm probably the only one out there that adores the Final Fantasy Ivalice Alliance (World of 12). Lets see...

Kingdom Hearts is another one I enjoyed until 358/2 came out, then I started resenting the series. One and two were beautiful, but the rest... well lets just say there's so many games planned at the moment (this is only called the Ansem/Xehanort arc) that I'm quickly losing interest.

Dragon quest games really interest me even though there's really no chronological timing. It's a series, it counts.

Legend of Zelda is a big one for me. I have to say the GB games done by capcom were my pride and joy, and I still am proud of myself for sticking through Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons to link them together and beat them as a whole. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy to know I'm one of the few that actually put the time into them without a strategy guide.

The Grand Theft Auto series is fun, I love the stories and just.. the crazy way they present the games, it's appealing to me. What's not to love about a world you have free reign in? Same goes for Mercenaries!

Devil May Cry is another one that I adore. I love long series that throw new stuff at you at every curve, and you actually have to think considering they didn't actually come out in order. It still surprises me that:
<div class='spoiler_toggle'>DMC3/4 SPOILER</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">
Nero was confirmed by capcom as Vergil's son. Many will complain that it doesn't fit chronologically but it actually does if you really think about it </div>

The other one I'm a huge fan of is Drakengard. It was only two games (Three if you count NIER as a sequel to the fifth ending of Drakengard, which was confirmed by the producer) but the presentation of story and the actually dark themes of the game is just alluring. You hardly ever will find a dark game that includes incest, pedophilia, hoyay, beastiality to an extent, and so much character death that you can't help but to not feel safe. The story is brilliant, but the game truly shines in the second of the series, where the gameplay is far more fluid, and it's an actual challenge on extreme difficulty.

The last I'll add to this list of games that I enjoy is Metal Gear. I followed the series religiously for about ten years. That's a long time to be following a game series, but it's one game series that has such an intense story, such an invigorating tale that if one tiny detail is missed, you lose track of what's going on. The story of Solid Snake, Big Boss, and all of their friends is a tear jerking tale, and one that I am glad to have sat down and given up hours upon hours of my time to play.

tony hawks pro skater, up until underground. then the rest sucked.

pokemon, I guess

ratchet and clank

I'm sure I'm not mentioning a lot, but those are the only ones that are my favorites/could play forevar and not get tired of

Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Uncharted, Civilization, Jak and Daxter, and there's probably one or 2 I can't think of.

And guys, as much as I love inFAMOUS, it doesn't count as a series until the 2 actually comes out.
