Favorite dream towns with little to no paths?

At some point I tried to go really large and all-out with my paths. I thought it'd be fun to completely transform my town with tons of intricate patterns but NOPE, it wasn't fun at all. It'd almost never come out looking right, and it'd stress me out 90% of the time. It was just too exhausting for me. I give major props to those people that have really decked out towns with every single space covered in patterns like how tf do you guys have the patience and stamina for that??

Anyway, game wasn't fun for me when I tried to go for that look. It completely killed my motivation to play. Now I'd like to play by the saying "Less is more." Minimal paths, and I'd like to focus more on landscaping, making a nice town with more natural resources instead.

I'm concerned that I'll end up making it look too bland though, so It'd help me out a lot if I had a visual reference for inspiration. If you guys know of any dream towns I could visit, that'd be nice Or if you have any advice on landscaping, I'd greatly appreciate that as well <3. I never actually got into that other than planting a fruit tree and some flowers outside of each villager's house.

well, considering how there are patterns for single tile paths that just repeat, you can definitely keep it simple!
I'm thinking about eventually adding paths to Sheol... but definitely only one tile.

Finally someone else who thinks the same way I do! I don't use paths either. The only thing I've done is plant trees and place PWPs. I like how my town looks without any paths. I leave the flowers where my villagers plant them and only move a few around.

I'm way more concerned with how my house is decorated

I feel the same way!! Towns with intricate paths are gorgeous but I like the slightly wilder nature of.... nature! Haha. My DA is in my sig if you want to check it out

I have a "dirt" path and a stone path, both just one tile... basically I use to 'connect' areas, such as the roost and the different houses. I'd love to use the dirt path you make by wearing away the grass, but those are hard to maintain, especially come winter when the snow basically makes all the grass grow back. If you're ok with a few paths, I'd love to give you a tour of my town ^^/ VM me if you're ever interested. I don't have a DA since my town is not done.
