My favorite is Apollo. He was the first cranky I ever met back in my town on the GC, and I've made sure to have him every game since.

I love so many cranky villagers, I think you can't really go wrong with them. The ones I've had longest include chicken Knox, eagle Apollo, wolf Wolfgang, cat Kabuki, kangaroo Walt, and elephant Cyd. But there are a lot of other great ones like Static, Avery, Croque, Rocco, Dobie, Chief, Lobo, and so on.

Edit: Also Marlo, Grizzly... I will probably be editing this post a lot as I remember more and more great crankies.

Personally, I prefer Fang over Wolfgang for Cranky wolves. Fang comes across as older because of his coloring, I think, which fits Cranky well.

Groucho's my favorite cranky, because he comes across as kind of shy and cute sometimes. Rasher and Hopper both look a bit evil and that's fun, too.

avery!! i've had him in my town since new leaf and i love him.

Definitely a tie between Avery and Apollo. I’m not really a huge cranky fan and I normally only have one on my island or sometimes none. My two Eagle friends make an exception, I love them and their designs so much!

Wolfgang will always be my best and favourite cranky boy. He's been with me since New Leaf days.

But I currently have Dobie on my island and I must say, he comes in as a close second to Wolfgang. I love how much of a grandpa he is.

Some other crankies that I also really like:

- Hamphrey: Have yet to get this grumpy hammy, but I think he's adorable.
- Butch: Fell in love with him through my friend who loves him. I have had him on my island but that was way back when I first played ACNH. He's up there as one of my fave doggos.
- Fang: I think everyone loves this guy. He's the perfect wolf. Had him for my previous theme and he was a gem.

Cranky villagers are my favorites too! My favorite for a long time has been Limberg even though he is kind of ugly and other people don’t like him lol. I also like Static and currently have Octavian on my island

Dobie is my favorite cranky villager, his personality and his design are very good for a grandpa wolf living in the forest. C:

It's Fang ever since I got him in New Leaf.

Other cranky wolves are great too and I'm very sentimental towards Lobo. From other species I like Roscoe, Kabuki, Bruce and Hamphrey.
