Fashion Check Help!

So I finally saw Gracie and I have 2 characters for my town.
My mayor didn't pass the check but my villager did.

Will my villager count as one of the 4 fashion check passes? Or does it all have to be the mayor?

Check's dont stack up. ;w; I dont THINK.

Cuz she'll only remember how many ONE of your residents have done.
So you need to do 4 on one character.
