Fans of HATED villagers

I'm curious, is anyone here a fan of a villager that seems to be hated by most of the fandom? I'm not just talking unpopular like tier five, but as in "people will literally judge you for liking this villager".

While I don't have him anymore because I couldn't play for a few months and he left, I've always really adored Moose the mouse, and I've recently gotten really interested in potentially getting Diva for my town, and I've definitely gotten the impression that both of them are severely hated by the fandom, but I think they are both so cute.

correct me if i'm wrong, but it seems a lot of people dislike/hate Katt, but i actually find her nice. yeah, she's not attractive tbh, but she's not bad either.

People tend to hate on the monkeys and gorillas obsessively...no clue why, most of them are pretty adorable to me. I've had Hans and he's been my favorite smug so far. Rocket is THE BEST, and one of my favorite villagers ever, she's so cool. A gorilla with a pink jumpsuit and helmet running around and saving the world, that's awesome, who could hate that?

The monkeys are really cute too. I just got Deli & Flip recently and they're such a nice change. They really spice up my town.
People also REALLY hate Truffles, apparently...She's my favorite peppy >_>;

Totally agree!! The gorillas took me a moment to warm up to, but I actually plan on having them as dreamies whenever I can handle taking on a third town, Rocket and Violet.
And seriously, the monkeys are adorable, I have Deli and Monty and they are both wonderful.

I have Tabby,Jambette,Quillson,Wart Jr. and Truffles in my towns and I'm surprised by how much some people hate these humble video game characters.I guess people really get turned off by a villager's looks...I'm still freaked out by Vesta and her eggplant face.It's odd but I adopted Tabby because she's so weird looking.

I have seen mentions of Jambette and Katt.

I have them between my towns—Jambette is original to Applewin; Katt is my sole Uchi in my showcase town ACNLpics.

I like them both. They’re loyal and easy to get along with.

I think the overwhelming majority of the game’s villagers are pleasant. But, it still comes down to personal tastes. I find, with more than three game cartridges (copies), the fun and interesting challenge is getting a good combination of villagers into a given town. It’s like casting. In Applewin, which I started three years ago (my first town), the cast is well-suited. It’s not because they are all perfectly ideal—but that they fit right in. That’s what I have to come to realize with a lot of towns. I like a variety. I like having particular villagers fit right in with a given town. (Applewin—which has themes of Fairy-Tale in the Train Station, the Town Hall, and even the paths—makes for a perfect fit for its last resident in seniority, Hamlet.)

By the way: There are some villagers I have lately experienced, who are not from towns listed in my signature, who are wonderful. Among them: Angus, Biff, Friga, Jacques, and Peanut (who has replaced Nibbles in ACNLpics, a theme town whose Dream Address I have not updated because the current one sets an ideal mood).

Totally agree about Moose! It makes me really sad when people call him disgusting I love him a ton, and I really enjoy having him in my town ^u^
