extra storage

So 2 days ago I paid the 500,000 fee to Nook for the storage expansion to 2,400. He mentioned I would get a letter letting me know how to use it. Well it has been 2 days and I haven't heard anything. Does it take a while to kick in? I seem to remember the first time I played that Lottie from Happy Home Designer shows up for a tutorial.

the storage expansion should have kicked in the very next day after you paid Tom Nook the 500,000 bells. have you checked your storage in your house to see if it says 2400 instead 800?

edit: sorry I meant to say 1600 not 800. 800 is how much additional storage you get with the storage expansion making it a total of 2400.

Yeah it kicks in the next day, in my experience.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but, I believe you need your house fully expanded to get the additional storage expansion even if you already paid for it.

You're right, but Nook wont offer to expand your storage unless your house is already fully built and paid for.

Yay! It came through today! And yes my house was fully updated and paid for before I got the offer from Nook.

I hope in the future we can expand our rooms to bigger size like in New Leaf. Seriously its so small that its hard to have any room to place furniture. Of course we do have our main room, attic and basement, but still I would love it we can expand the width of the north, west, and east rooms in our home. I liked the storage upgrade from last year.
