Extra Precautions Before Diving?

Before diving do you ever take extra precautions before you dive? (Eg. take off your bag cause it might get soggy) or is it just me?
Or am i just thinking too much. It's a game after all...

Shoes! Gotta take off the shoes. Oh, and empty pockets. Need plenty of space...

i like to keep a clean inventory (excluding keeping one pearl on me so when i find one they stack) & put all my tools on the beach in front of Nook's Cranny. i also remove any accessories i have that aren't a snorkel, and i only dive from my airport's dock thing.

Because I wear glasses in real life I make sure that my little character takes her's off too, don't wanna lose those to the depths hahahah ️

i take off whatever outfit i had on before i go swimming in my swim clothes. hoping they'll eventually let us register the new swimming items as wand outfits bc that would be super handy. personally hate having to manually wear the stuff i previously had again once im done swimming :/

i always take off my shoes, tights and do-rag - wouldn’t make sense to swim with those on

I clear out anything in my pockets that I need to sell, but I never empty my inventory completely - I always keep tools and mats on me and I usually have about 20 free spots that way. I also like to finish any other task I want to do first - like shopping, managing flower overgrowth, harvesting fruit, etc.

Haven't decided yet how I'm going to do the accessories - might depend on how lazy I feel in the moment. I have a snorkel and water shoes I've so far worn, idk if I'll hold onto that trend. If I do I'll probably make a changing station.

I always head home, drop everything off, and change into swim gear before I go out into the water.

I don't. But I had to take off my character's socks and shoes earlier this morning because it reminded me how much I hate wearing soggy socks in real life.

Always gotta take off the shoes (sandals don't bother me) and make sure I got plenty of room for all the sea critters!

Yup I definitely remove all accessories before swimming. If I didn't I would feel uncomfy lol

I put the wetsuit on over everything. Shoes and all.

I just remove my hat, that's it, don't care about the shoes and bags.

I empty out my inventory somewhere on my island and dive on in.

My character is currently wearing flip-flops, so he's already well-equipped to swim and dive, since we don't have flippers. I also put on my snorkel as well as the diving suit.

I only wear my dive suit and snorkel before jumping to the water.

I always wear "shower shoes" (I think that's what they're called?) and then place those neatly on the beach before I go into the water.

See I wish I was one of those people who dressed accordingly for diving or for rainy days on my island but I always just keep the same things on
I just bought a raincoat though so I’m hoping to switch that up!

I wear nothing but a wetsuit haha. I know it’s just a game logically, but it still bugs me. It’s so why I try to dress summery in game because I don’t want my character to get hot and sweaty
