I’ve had people come to my island quite extensively for trading and to visit Celeste/Redd. Never had any real issues thank goodness.
I’ve always thought that there was very little permanent damage anybody could do but I will admit that finding out people can load designs at Able Sisters without my permission has made me a bit more cautious now.

I did when I opened it for turnips. Just because that is the purpose for my island, to sell turnips only. When I had a meteor shower, I kept it open and had no issues.

I hate that so much, because of it people have to suspect everyone. I luv checking other peoples mabels, but sometimes can't cause they don't want to take the risk.
I’ve never had anyone else upload their designs in my Able’s... are you able to report them if it’s something inappropriate?

So people can upload their designs on the back wall in Able’s right? But if it’s something you don’t like can’t you just remove it?

I've used turnip exchange a couple of times in the early days for villager DIY's and more recently to host fossil events or turnip sales. More recently I have always fenced off my island. This has usually been fine - I once had a few issues with people picking up loads despite their being a clearly defined limit but usually I will host with someone else who will alert me and I will intervene - if possible.
On Bell Tree i usually fence off for wishing and celeste more to ensure more people can visit rather than because of fear that everything will be stolen. I've never had any issues as others have said TBT forumers tend to think or ask before doing which I prefer.

I used nookazon recently while trying to get the last crown/wreath diys i needed. the people that came to my town did quick trades and left no issues. I had more of an issue with people on there overpricing stuff or posting items and then never being on the site. What's weird is I just posted a community appreciation thread here and then something bizarre happened. Someone here started randomly pming me. I don't know this person. They said if i'm from "insert state" prove it by telling them the state bird. I was just like what? I said who are you and why should I answer that? Their response was how much of a certain illegal substance had I been smoking. I reported them and told them so. They said this is why im voting for trump maga. I told them Idk who you are but stop messaging me. They said they reported me for being an imbecile and am amazed i could even get make an account on here let alone open a web browser. I reported them again and stopped responding. They didnt message again. the next day i had a message from belltree that it was taken care of. It was just the strangest thing cause Idk the person or why they were doing that. It makes no sense.
I used turnip exchange once and my nooks is also a bit far from the entrance so it was not fenced, but I had no problems. I just don't leave anything valuable outside and no harm can be done. But I mostly only open for people here

I stay on this site, but I am part of several NH Discord servers. Haven't even spoken on them, I just lurk to see if there are any good deals. However, there are some people on there that are blatant scammers who can't be called out. On one server I've seen:
-Someone asking for 20 NMTS just to craft a crescent moon chair, and YOU had to provide the materials
-Someone asking for a 500k entry fee just to sell turnips (I have no problem with entry fees, this is just a bit much)
-Someone just begging for Bells... for no reason? They weren't selling anything, just unironically asking for Bells

I personally have had some small unfortunate experiences with people from outside Tbt, but not that bad, just unpolite people in general, I love this forum because it si a very nice community and because of the trade rating system, it means you are held accountable for your actions, so that is great.
The problem with the fencing now is that if someone has a swimsuit they can jump from the airport, so if I host , ussualy make sure I have nothing valuable laying around.

Personally I would only use this site, and the first time I even used anyone's services was this week. So I still find it kind of daunting. But I feel like it's safe here and I love that.

I trust everyone here a lot, people will come over to trade and I’ll have like millions of bells lying on the floor or a bunch of materials and items. I don’t worry about it at all because tbt feels safe. Would never do this if people from another site came over.
