I haven't played ACNL for so long and I'd like to see how that was for you if you haven't played ACNL for a period of time. I know that there are weeds usually.

Time travel to when you played last and it's like nothing has changed! I always do that...

Also with the beautiful ordinance you don't get many weed! Just a few!

Always feel very terrified of a dream villager moving when I don't play for a few days, but then I would start a new file to see if anyone that's missing. Like when flyffel said, weed is not an issue when you have beautiful ordinance however.

I didn't play from December until April. I just TT'd back to one day after I last played and TT'ed to the current date lol. I TT like 5 days at a time so it wasn't so bad getting to real life time.

I didn't play for 8 months (I didn't think that it had been that long whoops) and I only had about 60-ish weeds. Nobody even moved :o

I TT a lot in my cycle town, you don't get as much weed per year as you did in CF. I feel you'd need to TT about 10 years in ACNL to eaqual 1 year in CF.

villagers I didnt remember vanished, like moe. I only remembered him from looking through pics I took, he was in the last one I took before my big hiatus. I had beautiful town so nothing much else happened

I lost my poor Roald after not playing for only a few weeks. ;-; That's why I always TT to the last day I played, now.

If you stop playing right after you stop a mover, save and quit. Don;t load the game again till you're ready to play again. I know for a fact you can go a year without playing at least and no one will move. No need to remember the last date anymore. If you don't feel good about going back in a year(just an example) load a new save file , if no ones gone then whatever you see for villagers that day will be true to your mayor as well, unless you street passed, but besides that you wont lose anyone.

Really! Thank you :) So if I ever anticipate taking a break, I can just wait until someone wants to move, have them stay, save/quit, and then nobody will move during my hiatus?

There was a family emergency that kept me from playing for about a month. All I could do was stay on the same day, and every night, I would pull the time back to the start of that day. I fell behind, and haven't caught up since I only really TT 1 at a time. Sometimes I stay on the same day for multiple days, even now, because I'm too busy IRL.

The only thing I don't like about being behind is that everyone experiences things before I do. For example, right now it's Bunny Day in my town. It has an advantage that I have info for the events that come up, but meh, I could have gotten that from a thousand different sources on the internet anyway. But it's not annoying enough to where I'd TT quickly to the present just to catch up. I still want to experience every day in my town.

Today is my first time playing since mid-February, and like most players here I just set it back to the day I last played so nothing has changed.

Villagers don't move out if you tt back?

If you can remember the last day you played, and tt back to that day (without loading any others!!), it's like the game thinks you're still on that same day. No matter how long you waited no villagers will move, nothing at all will change because it's like the day never ended, in-game.
