Ex-villager glitch?

Just out of curiosity, is this a common issue? Is it an issue at all?

Kody moved out of my town probably like ... three or four months ago. About three weeks ago, he showed up in my Main Street, and

never actually left?

He's literally been either on the street or in one of the shops every single day for almost a month. It just seems kind of weird that an ex-villager would coincidentally be on the Main Street for three and a half consecutive weeks.

I talked to a friend and they have the same issue with not just one but two of their ex-villagers. Both of them have been in the Main Street together for several weeks. What the heck?? Has anyone else had this happen?

That's completely normal. It's not a glitch at all.

After I believe 4-5 villagers leave your town, you start seeing the first one that moved, and then as more villagers move out, you see more of your past villagers. All villagers, whether they were adopted or not, will show up eventually.

its because youre not cycling enough. i have my original vilalgers in mainstreet on my main copy bc i rarely cycled it and now i have all my dreamies.
its not a glitch, its because you didnt go through the 16 cycle for that villager
theyre never going to leave there unless you complete that

erm, not saying you should cycle 16 just to get them out of main street because that would be pointless lol. its just a mechanic

It's not a glitch, it's normal to see previous villagers in Main Street. I see the same 4 ex-villagers in my Main Street everyday. The villagers you see there change when someone moves in or out of your town.

I can NEVER remember having Agnes the black pig and she is ALWAYS in my main street. Now, if she was a starting villager she would be gone by now right because I have cycled out tons of animals on my main. Since My boyfriend had pompom then she moved to my town, back to his, then BACK TO MINE (meaning I had hit the 16 villager cycle) and now back to his.

I've definitely been through the 16 and she still hangs out there.

So I'm as confused as you are. lol

I mean I actually DID like Kody, but I was getting sick of seeing his face around and wanted someone new, I guess. Plus I'm not a huge fan of jocks.

Omg I was wondering about the exact same thing. Bruce is in my Main Street (sometimes in Nook's store) like every single day and I was thinking 'hmm Could this be a glitch or something??' xD
I had him when I first started and soon I took like 2 month break from AC so it's so weird seeing him everyday xD (it's not like we were close friends when he lived in my town... haha)
