Okay, I think I understand EV's. And I guess I've got the nature thing down...

It's just IV's that are troubling me.

Is each pokemon born with a certain IV, or what?

yeah there born with a certain IV in each stat

You don't need to really undertstand them, just do this:

1. Enter pokemon in Lv100 or Lv50 all battle

2. Fill their new stats and info into this

3. 20+ in the stats you want high + good nature= good pokemon
19- is bad
Bad Nature is bad
