I was just wondering.. does anyone happen to know if the EU club nintendo will be updated? I have 3550 coins but don't like any of the rewards.

I understand that the US one has new rewards too! What sort of rewards do they have therenow?

I've been wondering the same but I can't find anything about it.

US got updated with loads of cool stuff but ours hasn't changed at all aside from a hat they added yesterday of debatable quality.

I have a feeling I'm going to end up having to buy loads of those Wii cards with my stars if I don't want them to completely go to waste at this point...

I'm gonna wait till like June and if they dont do anything I'll spend mine I guess.

It has been updated within the past few days. They added a Mario hat for 4,000 stars. Don't know if they'll add more.

edit: didn't notice Tao had mentioned that, oops.

I believe they'll add more cool stuff as the closing date approaches.

Yea they said they were going to.

The only reason it's bugging me is how the US club Nintendo got all their rewards updated all at once (so I believe) with quite a lot of neat stuff, whilst in that same time period we've only had a saggy Mario hat...

I just don't know whether to just spend my stars on something now or wait for them to slowly trickle out some more 'meh' rewards between now and September because obviously, rewards I actually might get some use out of may be out of stock by September if I wait and nothing I like pops up.
Kinda want that blue 'power-up pouch', but I'll kick myself if something better crops up and I've spent my points...And I'll kick myself if nothing crops up and the pouch is out of stock -.-

Though I'm sure they'll throw up something I'll like between now and September.

[edit]

Does/did the US Club Nintendo close earlier than the EU or something? It would explain why it's been handled so differently so far if that's the case.

Or is this just another case of it works differently "because Nintendo"?

The US one is closing earlier I think, yeah. But they also got the Flipnote Studio 3d codes, and we have yet to get that. I hope we get the download games like the US, that would make saving my stars up worthwhile!

Really, when does the EU club nintendo close?

I hate the European Club Nintendo rewards... Surely can't just be me? They seem so cheap and I don't think that my stars are worth any of them. Like we get wrapping paper which is worth eight games? (as each game is worth 250 stars)

The American Club Nintendo looks like they have some neat rewards. How many coins do you get for a game?

We get Flipnote Studio codes if we sign up for their new reward program during it's "initial release period". This could be 3 years away for all we know (though it's likely sometime this year after September)

I think they get 25 coins per game.
Source: I took the zero off 250

But I overall liked the US rewards more.

I liked the Yoshi doll I got from our Club Nintendo...But that's about it.

Everything else such as the 'sleep kits' or 'Mario Kart Golf Balls' seem like novelty gifts I would get for my parents at Christmas rather than something I want to save up points for myself. Not to mention crap like 'Pikmin 3 desktop wallpaper', yano, as though I can't just go on google images and get the exact same thing for free.
I guess the wallpapers as a legit gift is another case of Nintendo living in the past, back when desktop wallpapers were something more 'valuable', back in the days of Dial-up internet when every kb you downloaded mattered...

Free digital games and posters though? I would love that US stuff!
I dislike having to paying real money for digital games and I find gaming posters are rare to come across unless I pay too much online...Both problems solved!

We usually get 40-60 coins per game, depending on if it's a 3DS game or a Wii U one, and the cheapest new reward was 400 coins, I believe, so I think they turn out to be about equal. There are rewards that are lower and have been there forever, but they're like... greeting cards and stuff lol.

Obviously I'm not from the EU, but I'm thinking your guys' Club Nintendo will update later than ours because you're closing later. The waiting game still sucks, though.

Yeah, seems like it's proportionate. But Super Mario 3D World is 600 coins which would be around 10 games I'm guessing is actually a really good deal considering our rewards. For 8 games we get wrapping paper. The only thing that really interested me was the Mario Kart 8 shirt which was 3750 stars (Which amounts to 16 3DS/Wii U games.)

I wish the EU CN got VC rewards though. I see American people complaining about it sometimes while I would love to get one of those. It's much better than getting either a crap item, or seeing my points disappear because there's no crap items to use them on.

The MK8 shirt was pretty neat though. It's not surprising that it sold out so quick, even the latest shipment (which went up a few days ago) has sold out already.

This is literally all I want from them at this point.

US users are always complaining that EU gets better rewards and that their CN is crap...Like, really? You would prefer to have wrapping paper and 'sleep masks' above actual games or posters?
