I've never played a game in this series before but I just downloaded the demo off the eShop today and holy crap I'm in love. Sinked 5 hours into it. 5 hours in a demo.

So yeah, I recommend giving it a try. You can find it on the US 3DS eShop.

I own the first game in the series and it was fun. This one does a good job at explaining the systems and how they work, and the demo has a ton of features in it for just a demo.
