Erik or Beau

Both of these lovelies used to have a place on my dreamies list when I played New Leaf but since New Horizons, I've swapped them with Ozzie and Zucker. I'm genuinely starting to wonder now which of the two are actually the most popular. I know that Beau is higher ranked and in a higher tier than Erik but honestly I see Erik more often and I see that more people seem to talk about him. I actually see him in posts that talk about underrated villagers and I see him quite often there since he is underrated. But is he? If so many people are saying he's underrated and they love him, maybe he isn't so underrated. I've also noticed that I haven't been seeing Beau as much and I know he used to be talked about often. But since Raymond, Audie, Judy and others, I haven't actually seen him very often, I actually barely see him anywhere on dreamy lists anymore, such as mine.
Anyways I'm curious to know which one of the two lazy deer villagers do you like the most. If you want feel free to tell me your thoughts on whether you think Erik or even Beau is underrated or whether you think that one of them should be more popular than the other. If you have anything else you want to discuss, I would be really glad to see what you have to say.

I scanned Beau's amiibo to have him in my town in NL. He's still there. In NH, I found Erik randomly on an island and he's still around on mine almost two months in now. As I've had both, I prefer Beau. Since he's a lazy villager, his half-asleep look really fits the bill.

In the end though, it's all opinion.

Oh wow I would appreciate that very much but I don't actually have anyone moving at the moment and not long ago, I had someone move out. I would love him but I have no idea when I would be free to get him. I'll possibly contact you if someone does want to move but at the moment I'm not able to take him. Thank you anyways

I love Erik.
I do have him on my island currently but will be, sadly, letting him go as he's one of my starters and 3 lazies is a bit of an overkill.

Erik is my absolute #1 villager in the entire series, so that's my choice, but Beau is easily top 5 as well.
You can't go wrong with both!

I have Erik on my island and love him to bits! He was one of the few lazy villagers I was looking for since I was not into my first lazy (benedict). So when he showed up at my campsite I was so happy! My sister has Beau and he's really cute too, and makes me want to move him into my town eventually, but I don't think Erik will be leaving my town any time soon.

I think I would go with Erik, he is a little less popular but he has some great antlers and probably a fun personality, either way I doubt you could go wrong here

I’ve personally never liked Beau but I adore Erik. I prefer the look of Lopez to Beau as far as deer go. That being said all that matters is YOU like them, I hope popularity doesn’t sway your opinion too much.

I do agree that Lopez looks really cool and I'm surprised that I never see him mentioned anywhere as I thought he would be quite a loved villager. And don't worry, I don't let the popularity of a villager get to me, in fact I actually dislike Raymond because I don't like the colour grey that much. I don't dislike him because he is overrated or anything. The reason I'm seeing which villager is more popular is just because I'm quite interested in other people's thoughts.

I like both of them, but I prefer Beau. I had Beau in new leaf and I loved him.
I had Erik on my island, but I didn't really click with him so when he asked to move out, I let him.
